In my experience that doesn't really happen. The blue boards on 4chan are generally fairly tame. If something like that does get posted mods will delete it. All of 4chan isn't some graphic gore filled wasteland.

IIRC J-list or whatever was the primary owner of the ads when moot was in charge but then Hiro burned a bunch of bridges and now it's just a bunch of malicious, invasive ads

Disregarding the fact that it's inaccurate.

4chan has a ton of toxic content even on some blue boards, but it's not necessarily extreme gore and suicides.

Honestly I've seen far worse stuff on reddit.

Blue board or not, we're talking about 4chan here. Yeah, blue should be SFW ideally, but the website is a magnet for terrible people who will gladly post awful shit. The website has a reputation for hosting terrible things - that's what it is. No sympathy for people who aren't prepared to see horrible things when they visit the site - go somewhere else.

(Exception given to people who post CP - that actually is crossing a line and, though I've thankfully never been around when it gets posted, I'm given to understand the mods are usually super-quick on getting rid of that shit.)
