Only counting books you chose to read, nothing for school or work or whatever

Im at 4, will probably be 5 by the end of the year (though i'm reading FotR now, so that one might seep into next year)

Probably 4 or 5, coincidentally enough.

I tend to read a mix of sci-fi and surreal mystery stuff (like Murakami, King, recently read a book called Dark Matter, etc;) and non-fiction, usually in the realm of current topics or history books.

If we're counting graphic novels as books, I think I've read 3-4 this year. If not, I'm not sure I've read through a whole one at all this year

Zero. I have no books anymore. I guess I could find some online but reading full length books online would seem weird.

Do audiobooks count? I listened to 1984. I don't find much reason to read Fiction and the Internet is better than any non-fiction book.

I don't know, between 200 and 300. Sometimes one in two days, sometimes two a day. In the past month, burned through Lincoln Child/Douglas Preston's Pendergast and Gideon Crew series, the James Corey Expanse series, and a few each of Lee Child, John Ringo, David Weber, Mercedes Lackey, Larry Corriea, Tanya Huff, etc. Oh, and started a Harry Potter book but got bored and quit.

This year? It's been bad. I finished maybe one book and it wasn't even a good book. My book queue is massive right now, between not finishing things and not starting other things.

That's true. I had one English teacher obsessed with Vonnegut and we had to do stuff on his short stories. I wound up reading the entire short story book instead of just the ones he picked out.
