Riku hasn't looked good lately but he's always been a midcarder and with KHIII on its way things are probably looking up. Chief kinda flopped in 2010 and 2013, his game looked even worse in 2015 (22% on FFVII after the stuff we've seen out of FFVII this decade is really bad!), and I see no reason to give him much respect at this point. This site is apathetic at best towards the Xbox brand, Chief's franchise has become totally irrelevant, and the demographic shifts caused by low votals probably hurt him more than any of our other established characters. I'd seriously consider high fodder upsets over him.

Terra did really well in 2010 and 2013. Hard to gauge Meta-Knight's real strength when he's not being SFFed but I'd be very impressed if he won.

I think Chief will be stronger this year than the last time. Feel like he and the X-Box are established enough by now that people have for the most part buried their childish anti-voting hatchet and he'll get his long deserved iconic cred.

Not being super relevant lately will largely cancel that out, however, preventing him rolling Riku with KH3 hype but I feel like he could barely edge it out. Think the other two are probably weaker than both but who really knows.

Hot take: current Riku is a fraud and while I take him over Chief, he isn't winning this fourpack unless he gets a serious KH3 boost.

I think the xbox is weak because it feels less relevant these days more than venom, though. Feels like people have gotten over it, to me. The next gen console wars are over and the xbox has lost. Let it rest.

I think he could basically be like X-Box's Sonic the Hedgehog. That's a decent step down from Sonic, don't get me wrong, but a lot of people weren't exactly huge on the Genesis either back when it was relevant either, and Sonic hasn't really been relevant since these contests have started either.

I feel like a lot of people will look back on him with a similar kind of nostalgia. It's not going to be enough to make any waves because actual releases that matter to accompany this would be necessary for that, but yeah should be enough to take out Riku I think.

I think if you don't expect that to occur Chief is by far the weakest of this pack. Halo hasn't felt relevant in years.

Well, Chief was well ahead of all three of these characters in the 2010 stats, so he's still got a little bit of a buffer to fall and still win.

I wouldn't pick him to win, mind you, but I don't think any of these characters eviscerates him either.

Terra has more wins under her belt and GameFAQS loves classic Final Fantasy more than Kirby.

I picked Meta > Riku, I think Meta has had some pretty unfortunate SFF the last few contests and looked decent enough in the fourways that he may be able to edge this out against Terra. I think it would be very close either way. Regardless, the winner should beat Riku I think. Halo hasn't been very relevant in recent years
