Isaaru qualifies for STATS next year now. Maybe it'll be a decent new addition for X; can't be worse than VI's new addition this year.

He's a pretty minor character but he isn't offensive or anything, and he has appeared in at least 3 different games now so I think that qualifies him as being someone of note.

O'aka's brother Wantz has been in 3 different games. that doesn't mean much on its own.

I'm just confused at the unwarranted negativity that has always been around, particularly with X's cast (you know, except Lenne, because cooler people are backing that one up). No one bats an eye at a 2D optional character's dog for some reason though.

i like Maechen and didn't mind Dona or O'aka, it's just Isaaru that i find super annoying. Intercepter is pretty bad, i agree.

He's like using some weird hybrid of the FFD "let's make this a joke people can get behind" playbook and the Inviso "let's kiss the ass of everyone who saves my character" playbook and getting the worst of both.

For what it's worth, I don't really care/mind the Lenne stuff. I'm mostly critical of people being critical to some but then not others, that's about it. It's kinda like immediately having Shuyin referenced rather than Lenne (especially when Shuyin is more important and serves as the antagonist of the game and final boss).

I was going to post "sounds like something somebody would say before launching a sneak attack round..." but didn't because there was a nonzero chance that would happen.
