Is it even worth jumping into that series, I played Re:Coded and liked but thats all

no, metal gear's the kind of nonsense you can enjoy even with zero investment in it

kingdom hearts is just very much up its own ass about it's confusing, non-sensical plot

I don't know why people meme about the story being nonsense and act like it's cool to hate on it, just seems edgy to me.

I like the story and gameplay and so do a lot of other people.

Play them yourself and decide what you think.

It's the last entry for the Xehanort plot. But who knows if they'll add more.

My guess is they will but it'll be so spaced out they'll kill it worse than if they decisively ended it in III.

It is the last entry in this arc, for sure. I don't think they'll continue with Sora, Kairi, and Riku as the playable characters moving forward. Maybe in mentorship roles later.

Besides, the "future" in KH's is not going to be anywhere as close to as interesting as the past.

It's the last part of the Xehanort story but not the last KH. Sora is suppose to still be the main character continuing forward as well as the creator said "KH will always be Sora's story." or something like that.

The main bad guy in the first game, Ansem, is actually a scientist named Xehanort who stole his master Ansem's name after getting rid of him and turned into a Heartless.

But actually that scientist named Xehanort is actually an old man named Master Xehanort who possessed some young kid named Terra in order to stave off old age long enough to complete his goals.

And now he's gathered 13 versions of himself through time-travel. Sora's goal in KH3 is to stop all of him.

It is not the end of Soras story, he will be the primary protagonist going forward. However, it is the end of the Xehanort/Dark Seeker saga. They will not stop making games.

You don't have to worry about the story not making sense.

It doesn't make sense to Sora either. Kid just murders everyone in his way and everything else just tends to work itself out. He's a really good protagonist in that regard.

No one can deny that Kingdom Hearts has a convoluted plot, but it's not impossible to understand. It has its own internal logic and rules that it follows.

Yeah, right. KH is Disney's new Flagship franchise. Sora's story will come to an end, but the Franchise is just hitting it's 3rd wind. Look at it this way: is Final Fantasy any less popular now, than it was in 1998? Lol.

I haven't played a lot of the newer ones but at least for the first half of them, it's not that stuff doesn't make sense; it's just that the rules are so different from reality.

Like sure in real life there aren't really half people running around claiming to be made of nothing, but that's why it's a fantasy world and not real life.

It's true that some of them put a whole lot of effort into having a complex narrative full of nuance and such, and a lot of people argue that it's way too much for a game about Disney characters and hitting stuff with a giant key but while people are certainly entitled to that opinion, there's nothing objectively wrong with approaching things that way.
