Two pieces of good news for those of us playing Girls Frontline. First off, we're getting another costume event beginning on June 16th: a bridal event! PPSH-41 and FAL are shown off in the official tweet, and the other girls that were in the same event in the original Chinese version were Tokarev, Sten, PK, P7, and Lee-Enfield.

You may notice in one of the tweets below that one that FAL's damaged artwork has been censored from the artwork that was originally in the Chinese version. Well, that brings me to my second bit of good news: there is now a fan-made uncensor patch for the English version of the game! It can be done on Android phones (no root needed) or when playing on an emulator, so unfortunately for those on iOS (why are you still on iOS anyways, that's just stupid) you guys won't be able to.

This video includes a download link to the files, shows how to put them in the right spot (for phone players, it starts at the "Android/data" folder and you can ignore the earlier stuff) and provides proof straight from the GFL devs themselves that they will not ban players who choose to use this uncensor patch!

Whew... finally finished translating Kino's Journey Chapter 4. That's the longest novel chapter I've ever translated, that's for sure.
This one is the Colosseum story, which should be a familiar one for those who watched the anime.

On a side note, I actually looked up revolver assembling and reloading videos at one point while translating this to get the details and terminology right, and ended up being hooked on watching them for a while. They're pretty satisfying to watch.

Kino is about exploring different countries and meeting different people. GLT is about exploring the (destroyed) world around them, isolated from almost all other people. They're similar in some ways, and I agree that GLT was more fun to watch than Kino, but they're not totally comparable.

I decided that I'm not even going to shoot for any other special costumes in GFL. I got lucky that best girl Skorpion's costume was available for direct purchase and didn't require dealing with the RNG, and the only other character I like enough to really want a costume for (M4 SOPMOD) doesn't even have a costume in the original Chinese version of the game yet. I figure if I get lucky enough to get a costume for someone, that's neat, but if not, then it's not a big deal to me.

I'll be much more likely to spend gems on resources and combat sim energy rather than on tokens.

Yeah rapid fire events, if what the korean players said its true, we're gonna have to grind our assess off not to lose some stuff a bit later, like actual guns and equipment...

Half the changes in the game aren't that big. Some even look better. I mean, it still sucks, and I'm not excusing it at all, I'm just saiyan that as far as censorship goes, I've seen much, much worse.

So I was watching today's dubbed episode of Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card just now. Kero transformed into his full guardian form (which is a huge winged tiger instead of the cute plushie-looking thing he normally is) for a scene, which we've seen very little of in this season, then he started talking. I knew he had a different, deeper voice in this form, but this was the first time that this second voice sounded a little familiar to me. Curious, I decide to look up who did the voice for this form of Kero in Clear Card...

It was Chris fucking Sabat all along. You were right, this bastard really is in just about every dub out there.
