Stephanie Johnson has been on Twitter since the reunion. I also thought 38 wasn't set to film until Australian Survivor completed, since CBS opted to film that in the same location in Fiji.

I think 25 is the exception to the rule and the other captain seasons are not over the top good. One is a top 5. One is middle of the road. The other is 2 are in the bottom.

The promising part about captain seasons is there is a lot less going on advantage and idol wise for those that were complaining about that. That being said, in this days survivor I imagine like 25 one idol per camp, a merge idol, merge advantage, and then idols return to game after use (which could lead to 4 idols after the merge though)

Fan Favorite Danielle DiLorenzo is being tossed around because of a reddit post from a month ago saying she would be on S38 (this was long before we knew there would be returnees). Chrissy and Malcolm are being tossed around because of social media absence. Not sure if there's a theme yet.

Ugh then.

Chrissy is certainly deserving of a second season and as of right now I would be casting them on the next full-all-star season. But I really don't think Malcolm deserves to be a 4-timer (sorry, they just aren't nearly as iconic as the 4-timers we have already) and no way in shit does Danielle deserve to be a 3-timer.

yeah I chose that word deliberately since I consider BB7 the definitive season, whereas BB6 is just something ancillary that provides bonus to the narrative of BB7

it has nothing to do with chronology, but their placement in the mythos

It's being used loosely. It's not meant to be literal. You could say BB7 is a sequel to BB6 then. It's just the two seasons work well together back-to-back.

Great video, Peridiam, with good arguments, although I disagree at points. I did considerably not enjoy the premerge as much as you seemed you did, even though I generally agreed with your points (Jacob, Brendan, and Steph being good pre-merge characters, good non-traditional episode with HOPE). Just everything still seemed so orchestrated and not engaging by the edit.

And I don't agree with the destination justifying the journey for this instance.

Really great finale either way though, but one thing I wished you went into was the reunion. For such a exciting finish, I thought they needed the reunion more than most seasons to capture the players' reactions to it, but sadly, it was as short as Kevin Hart.
