That's a stretch, but maybe... They'd have to be the ones that like to be over a hundred. We still don't get many of them...

Also, is this the same one they were talking about years ago?

Meh, with technology improving at a drastic rate I wouldn't be surprised to see the average life expectancy go up to over 100. That is a bit of a lowball when we are talking the technology of 2100 or more. Shit compare what was "amazing" technology in 1918 compared to 2018. The thing about technology is the more you have the faster you get better stuff. So in 1000 years from now assuming humanity doesn't screw themselves we will see things change at rates we can't even imagine.

I don't disagree with all that. I understand technology and do think the average life expectancy will increase... But I also don't think this generations children are going to be part of the generation that has the average life expectancy that is over 100...

I believe I read once that average life expectancy is going down for the first time, based on polution in the most populated areas. Air content is really bad in many very densely populated areas which is expected to have severe long term effects.

Not sure if that is still true and certainly don't have sources, but I did read that awhile ago.

Its not a global killer. It's huge and would cause some major issues for its impact area and hundreds of miles around it. But the one that did in the dinosaurs was miles wide. This isn't near that size. Whichever country this hits, its going to be horrible for or if it lands in the ocean (more likely) we'll have some crazy tsunamis so coastal areas are screwed.. but its not an end event.

There will be an asteroid passing closer to the earth than some of our man-made satellites in 2022(IIRC). There is a chance the earth's gravity could alter its orbit putting it on a collision course with earth the next time around. Earth is fucked, bro.

On an astronomical scale, those are actually pretty bad odds.

Id be willing to bet against Earth if all the money Id win wouldnt turn into space dust if Im right (also Id be dead in 120 years, minor inconvenience).

Highest chance is that it will fall into the Sun. Venus has the highest odds for planets at 26%

"The orbit of Bennu is intrinsically dynamically unstable, as are those of all NEOs. In order to glean probabilistic insights into the future evolution and likely fate of Bennu beyond a few hundred years, we tracked 1000 virtual "Bennus" for an interval of 300 Myr with the gravitational perturbations of the planets MercuryNeptune included. Our results ... indicate that Bennu has a 48% chance of falling into the Sun. There is a 10% probability that Bennu will be ejected out of the inner Solar System, most likely after a close encounter with Jupiter. The highest impact probability for a planet is with Venus (26%), followed by the Earth (10%) and Mercury (3%). The odds of Bennu striking Mars are only 0.8% and there is a 0.2% chance that Bennu will eventually collide with Jupiter."
