I hated Netflix's Death Note even just as a film. They also fucked up some of the rules which made me wonder why the main character didn't just do more and better. It was convoluted for no reason. When the original got convoluted, it was because the Death Note actually had limitations. The movie literally shouldn't have happened if the people involved were smart or imaginative. And I don't care to see somebody who can't wield great power well. It felt like watching a Disney special

To be fair, that's in CAD. For USD, it's about $48. It's still absurdly expensive for what could very realistically be a trash 5* and the subreddit and GFAQS forum for this game are going berserk. When they first announced a cash summon, the majority of people thought it'd be around $20.

Seems a lot of people are arguing about whether to lay the blame at Gumi or SE's feet. The Japanese version of the game is a little more generous with 5*, having handed out free unit-of-choice tickets before, and I think you can work towards more UoC tickets through events. GL and JP markets are pretty different though. Still, GL players being able to compare their game to JP has fostered a bit of disillusionment.

Like on one hand, its a guaranteed random 5*, on the other hand, its a random 5*...

for $60 you get like 2 10 pulls on FGO and you're guaranteed 4* and mostly shit...

So i guess in the end the FF one is better value for the price, but its still a fucking ridiculous price i'm glad i don't pay.

To start, all 5* can be upgraded to 6*. 5* can vary in usability at this point because of power creep. Early ones like Lightning are considered worthless nowadays, while more recent ones like Blossom Sage Sakura can be gamebreaking. You can probably do most, if not all the content using base 4* units that can be upgraded to 6* as well, but they'd require a lot of gearing and farming TMRs. Japan introduced a 7* meta, where you need to fuse two 5* dupes together, and if you want their super ability, then you need to fuse another two dupes into that 7*.

To clarify TMRs, it's a system where each unit can give special and often powerful equipment or materia when they hit 100% trust mastery. It's increased by finishing a battle (10% to gain 0.1%), fusing a dupe for an instant 5% gain, or using trust moogles, which are occasionally handed out as a login reward or on weekends for daily quests. This led to a lot of people who set up macros purely to farm TMR on the easiest and lowest stamina cost map, but even if you did literally nothing but farming for a team, it'd still take about a month to get them to 100%, give or take.

There's some more background on why a lot of the people in the community are upset, but I'm not sure if you guys want me to go into that because it goes back to, like, August.

tl;dr they're increasingly necessary but the summon pool is also increasingly diluted with garbage units

I never bothered with them in the original xenoblade, i forgot why, maybe it was because spike damage is fucking stupid... but oh well... i think xeno 2 also has spike damage but its not as ridiculous, or at least it isn't yet... otherwise rez critting for 20k would've killed me a while ago...

Ayy, endgame superboss tyrants. Telethia is the strongest super boss in the game at level 99, flying high above Noctilum's Divine Roost with 3 phases, insane ether attacks, and invincibility buffs. Also the added danger of flying so fast it can escape you and reset the battle.

Gravidius is only level 70 something on the north beach of Oblivia, but has an insane 100000000 HP that makes his strongest ability the amount of effort to survive that long.

And spike damage is only present on two tyrants in Xeno X, but its so strong you will die in one hit if you dont have the antispike augments.

Gravidius is a tyrant version of a Milesaur enemy, the giant and usually docile beasts


Only those long necks are just a fake. This is what a milesaur really looks like after you break the fake head appendage off.
