Wow I just got into a coop group with two Vaans and we just annihilated the level 60 quest. Did it in 35 turns. The run was worth 30k points. Wish all of my runs were like that!

Just so I understand the best way to level gear...

Farm Hope's stage on Normal for 2* junk.
Fuse non-limit breaking 2* junk together (or use 2* and 3* enhancement mats?).
---Do I fully level the 2* gear to level 5, or should I aim for level 4 and maybe get some Great/Excellent?
What about 3* gear? Should I level those up and fuse them into 4*/5* stuff too?

You have it right for 2* gear - level then to 5 without limit breaking using other 2* gear or 2* mats (dont use 3* mats for this).

3* gear and 3* mats can be fed directly to the weapon youre leveling.

I've never gotten a 5* from a ticket, and I think I've gotten just one 4* from all the tickets I've used.

With the exception of my first two non-tutorial pulls, I've only ever gotten a single 5* from each 5k pull, and a few of them haven't even been banner 5*s (got an Edge 5* from the Vaan banner, and a Laguna 5* from the Squall banner).

at least the 1st was Balthier though!

At least this Balthier co-op I'm constantly getting 30k/run since I'm a Terra main with almost maxed equips (maxed weapon, 1 LB away from equip) and Terras are boosted for the balt event

my brother also has an alright Terra so we're raining down meteors, sometimes with a good 3rd Terra

it's also just much more fun of a fight

Ugh, have to redo the level 50 at some point for no breaks because the stupid robot got an extra turn out of nowhere that targeted everyone.

I dunno that level 70 quest seems real hard. Maybe I just havent figured out what the right way to tackle it is, but having to manage two bosses at the same time is proving to be difficult.

Did a pull for fun and managed to get Balthier and Edge 5* (already had Terra's) so that was cool. Leveling up the trio to make the lv 50 mission easy. I hear all three are great for the lv 70 so I'll test them all out and see which I prefer.

The first time was a real shock fighting two bosses at once we got obliterated but then we got it with my brother as Rem healing and swapping, albeit with a bad # turn finish... but then we started getting good at just doing a full on offense rushing to kill one and then the other is easy. So use them Ifrits when you got em!

We had a Balthier with us one time who's attack was insane, like +2000 damage turn 1 breaking one of them. Boosted characters are crazy.

But another time it was me and my brother's Terras + one weak cloud... the cloud got destroyed pretty early due to constant targets but me and my brother managed to complete it just us soooo yeah we've definitely overcome this fight.

I guess I'll work on getting Edge up to snuff to bring him in seeing as he's the one I have 5* weapons for.

I am actually getting close to finishing the last co-op mission though. At 800k now, I think I can make it to 1 million in the next two days.

Grinded about 350k points into the Balthier lv 70 co-op yesterday. Managed to get the Complete with a party I hosted of Balthier (me), Edge, and Terra that wasn't full of idiots. Also built a horrible 4* artifact for Balthier and Edge so far. Only gotten one Terra 4* drop so far.

I just do my Daily Crystal grinding, maybe some story or material farming, and call it. I haven't done co-op at all since the game launched. I did get Balthier, but I just solo'd the Co-op event instead of looking for people. I don't really do the high end events for 5* armor or what not mainly because I haven't pulled on their banners much beyond Squall's, so I haven't really found a need to level any of these new characters and I still pretty much just use WoL, Y'shtola, Squall/Cloud. Every ticket I've gotten from events has always just been a 3* piece of gear, so I stopped caring about grinding for them.

I use my level 50 units to farm Crystals since I can do AUTO on the level 50 dungeons and not pay attention to the game at all, so I haven't really leveled any units in a while either lol. Still sitting at Rank 54.

I don't even know what these artifact things Allen is talking about are.

Yeah, not really much point to build 2/3* artifacts when 4* ones have 2 passives on them.

I do multipulls once in a while, but I'm still netting more lapis than I use. Have around 55k in stock right now. Need to save for Lightning and Ashe (and Gilgamesh in a year).

Now that I've gotten more into the Balthier co-op event, it actually isn't so bad. Only takes 30-40 turns, it's pretty easy as long as you've got a team of bonus units, and you get a lot more points per run than you did with the last co-op event. The artifacts are a nicer reward than the crystals for each run, too.

I'm about 750k points into Balthier event. Usually smooth sailing unless you get into a party with either a novice Terra player who has no idea how she works or a sticker spammer who feels the need to try to tell everyone what to do with usually wrong advice.

So if I'm looking at things right we can get two 5* armors this event? 1 with the free 5 the send out, another if you get 1M in the co-op mission.

What are people's plans? Double up on someone to LB it? Get two for characters you like? Save up for a better character?

Yeah, 2 seems like the max at the moment. I'm just going to get two of Cloud's because I have all his other stuff maxed out.

It's a good batch of characters, so most of them will serve you well. The only ones I'd definitely stay away from are Edge, Galuf and Balthier. If you don't really like any of the units they're available for, I might save them for later. Not sure how rare the emblems are going forward.

I've been spreading my crystal levels too evenly. I only have 3 at max crystal level, but my lowest crystal level is like, 38-ish.
