It's driving me f***ing crazy. I just left a heavily leftist college last year that tortured me for many months during the semester and for half a year after. I had to take a college semester off just to get back to normal to who I am inside before this brainwash tried to change who I am inside.

Seems like everything the teacher is talking about in class sounds like noise. I literally cannot hear wtf the teacher is saying because it sounds like satanic preaching. I also start having break-outs of Fibromyalgia pain all over my body. The class is so dry and boring. The teacher tries too hard to be "funny". I just close my eyes and fall half asleep during class.

There's about 35 females in the class and 8 males. So somehow my chance of hooking up is "good" but really bad as well because this social science "education" these days is just a bunch of crap.

Might as well buy a "Make America Great Again" MAGA hat and wear it to class.

I don't mind it being brought up as a subject for debate. I do mind Stalin apologists and Antifa goons. I just can't see how some evils are socially acceptable now while others are not. It's like having a list of the coolest sex offenders... They're all bad and should be treated accordingly. But instead many places of "higher learning" (which at this point I assume - sarcastically, of course - is code for 'shrooms, acid, or other hippie drugs the professors use) choose sides where there should be none to take. I'd love to see them move to China and see how long they last with their fringe bullshit. I guarantee their crackpot narrative, communist or not, won't line up with the CCP and they'll soon bemoan what they romanticized. As far as I'm concerned, supporting Marxist regimes is no different than supporting Saddam Hussein, Hitler or Vlad the Impaler. Any variations are purely cosmetic.

In my opinion, you should probably just drop the class, since it seems like a waste of your time, money, in addition to being detrimental to your health. Is it required for your major?

Just get your credit and move on with your life. If you can bang a couple of broads in the meantime, great.

Why, because she mentioned Marxism?

Believe it or not, Communism isn't part of the Democratic/Liberal platform. Surprising, I know. If you call that brainwash, you might just accidentally be getting an education.

It certainly was because I'm an immigrant who legally moved to America in 1999. 2 years later a bunch of people died. So you don't really understand the shock and horror that was not comprehensible to a young kid at the time.

Taking social sciences is required for a degree, I've already switched majors and dropped classes before. Been going to college for a few years already now.

Wish I had taken Anthropology instead but didn't look into it much and this Sociology class fit in with my schedule really well.

Karl Marx is part of the thing we're studying about in Sociology class, then some dude mentioned it on the same day. Today, she mentioned the actual word "Marxism".

Of course not. Socialism is more on the democratic/liberal platform. And just yesterday I was looking up the "Black Power" movement which had Malcolm X in the early stages but he and Martin Luther King Jr got assassinated quite quickly in the span of a few years close to each other. The point is, the wiki said that the "Black Power" movement supported socialism which was kinda like... "meh".

Where they been?? lol. I can't stand modern liberals. I had an old school liberal for one of my communication classes at a leftist-heavy college up north last year. She didn't cause any weird problems but she actually was hating the college quite a bit. She couldn't hold back how tormented she was feeling. She was a nice lady who didn't try brainwashing her own students but offered them a friendly environment to express different view points around the world.

A very compelling string of sentences that requires some good thought processing to reply to. I'll do more "tomorrow". Zzzzz.

Andrew Kliman argues that this undermines Marx's critiques and the correction of the alleged inconsistencies, because internally inconsistent theories cannot be right by definition

Philosopher and historian of ideas, Leszek Koakowski, criticizes the laws of dialectics as fundamentally erroneous. Stating that some are "truisms with no specific Marxist content", others "philosophical dogmas that cannot be proved by scientific means" and some just "nonsense". He believes that some Marxist laws can be interpreted differently, but that these interpretations still in general fall into one of the two categories of error.

Neo-Marxism is a loose term for various twentieth-century approaches that amend or extend Marxism and Marxist theory, usually by incorporating elements from other intellectual traditions, such as critical theory, psychoanalysis, or existentialism (in the case of Sartre).

Well, there's some critiques from Wikipedia I found. It's been growing stronger and people think that a whole entire new system with certain beliefs is going to make everything better when it's probably not going to.

No, no... Liberalism is much different than what it used to be. The whole think outside the box, challenge government mentality has been infiltrated. Republicans are morons and Democrats today can't think.

The reason we aren't getting ahead is because the REAL elite clings to printing money excessively and exploiting the split party system. Without comparing us to Nazi Germany, the U.S. is the 4th Reich.

Unless the semester just started and those two days are the only days you've been there and there's a focus on it, which is pretty shitty, whatever deal with it.
