The level of discussion here had gone a bit too far into the hostile territory, and I'll gladly admit that I'm guilty of that also. The one thing I hope goes along with this -- especially in cases of trolling/flaming/insulting users -- is mods checking the topics for context and not just unilaterally deleting the post that's marked and pops up in the queue. The mod queue was poorly designed to see context beyond the marked post, but actual moderating entails either allowing or deleting both sides of the discussion to facilitate a better board exchange. I mean it's pretty natural on GameFAQs for trolls to sorta strive towards getting the people they upset moderated while themselves skirting by the rules. Especially with the political climate lately, it's probably never been easier to feign genuine beliefs that are reprehensible while trying to play coy about what they're really supporting, baiting people to call them "racist" or something even more extreme, then just marking all that and laughing as those people get in trouble. And when you build up a history in a community of that, it's all the easier, because you can go extreme for a bit, establish a history, a reputation, and then need only lightly poke at that and hint to it from then on. Mods won't pick up on what they're doing but the troll's intended audience certainly will. Though on the flip side there are certainly a lot of people playing fast and loose with what constitutes a "racist" and especially a "nazi" and it's good that they will be dealt with more now. --- I am snazzier, hot, hot rant.
