v_charon 09/26/17 9:49:14 PM #203:	I used to do these a few years ago, might as well toss in my ideas. These are my thoughts of "best newcomers", from the games I'm at least somewhat familiar with. Not gonna do guess work on stuff I'm not (or stuff I don't feel is Final Fantasy). FF1: Warrior of Light - Dissidia rep, iconic etc. If we are gonna do any sort of FF1 stuff, it's best to do it for the guy that has some sort of storyline in some form or fashion. FF2: Ricard Highwind - Overlap with Kain notwithstanding, he's still cool to look at. FF3: Ingus - This guy's "default" class is a red mage you know! He wears the hat and everything. This game is terribly weak obviously, so any of the main cast would really qualify I think. I don't really like Onion Knight's Dissidia design so I'd choose the remake characters over him. Desch would not be a terrible choice here, but again, this game. FF4: Ceodore Harvey - I've not played TAY, but I have played FF4 several times. I can't say anything from that game would be worthwhile having over the main character of the sequel. I mean we've seen bad performances from main characters in weak games before (Benjamin, Luneth, Luso especially) but what about one attached to a beloved classic and has the last name of Harvey? Is it too soon for a Hurricane joke? FF5: Enuo - What a really terrible cast here. Outside of raytanning something, I don't really know what else. He looks really cool? FF6: Gogo - Or Strago. I feel bad for Strago honestly. Gogo is cooler though and I think would be more likely to actually not get immediately hard booted. I've always loved thinking about who Gogo actually is (I subscribe to Setzer's lost love interest). FF7: Shelke the Transparent - Go play Dirge of Cerberus. It's pretty good. Shelke is an amazing character as well. The character designs in this FF7 spinoff are so good too. I'd accept Nero, Shalua or Weiss as well. FF8: Kiros Seagill - My personal preference. He'd bring in more votes than Ward imo, but it could be a toss up. I can't imagine a different FF8 rep being chosen. FF9: Regent Cid Fabool - Frog Cid hasn't been in yet has he? If he hasn't then this is the best choice I think. He has to be more liked than FF8's Cid. FF10: Luzzu - Always like this guy and make sure he lives, usually. Alternately Nooj to complete the trifecta. Getting them all in at the same time would be a chore but watching them battle for the top spot among themselves would be fun. FF11: Prishe - Really hard to believe this one isn't already in. Cut and dry answer, if we're going to have one this has to be it. FF12: Vossler York Azelas - Really awesome when he's in your party. FFXII's guest members tend to wash out of this pretty badly, but with the others having their shot Vossler should get one too. FF13: Galenth Dysley - With Vayne in, my next goal is- okay, not really. Still, main antagonists should be in at least once. FF14: Haurchefant Greystone - Why not? FF15: Lunafreya Nox Fleuret - This game hasn't done well, so I'm not exactly sure what to do here. People here seem to prefer Iris, but the literal main female character of this game franchise should probably be getting in first in my opinion. Tactics: Mustadio Bunansa - I'm more partial to seeing Folmarv quite honestly, but if FFT needs a true newbie this will be the strongest one. Tactics Advance: Ritz Malheur - Has she been in? Seems like she'd be popular with certain crowds if not. Mystic Quest: Phoebe - Why would anyone want to get the only end boss worse than Yu Yevon into this? The guy dies with X-Potions or something. Umaro/Gogo are the obvious indifference line. Edgar has some cool moments (sinking castle, Gerad) but his ladies' man persona is so awful it overshadows everything else. You can just feel the sleaze grease pouring off him in buckets.
