Looks like its flyer emblem this week in arena. I have a +2 Catria that I can use as a Bonus unit to go with my +3 Elincia, +2 Camilla, and +2 Tana. Camilla has DC Emerald Axe+ so Reinhardt isn't a problem but I question how am I going to deal with Brave Lyn. Might have to bring in Boey the meta slayer instead.

A 5* Clarisse will probably not help you stay in tier 20 in any case. You need to shoot for 4900+ to stay. I take it easy whenever I hit 20.

Decided I wanted to get Azura as well and got her first orb on my return to the banner. +Atk -Res isn't great because it means she can get OHKO'd a lot of Reinhardts, but that's what Hector is for I guess.

Unless you are planning to give her Emerald Axe and Distant Counter, I don't think it matters. Not really her job

It's awesome in theory but it doesn't seem like there are that many units who can take advantage of it the way Distant Counter users can. Do you have an interesting build with it?

Well I have my tank matthew build that I've rambled on in the topic for that I think it's a must have for. (+SPD/-ATK, Rogue Dagger+, Ignis, Seal Attack 3, Threaten Speed 3/Attack Smoke 3. Basically can facetank everyone as long as there aren't a ton of mages, and debuffs them all for the rest of the team to massacre em. Also chunks pretty hard with a rapidly charging Ignis)

I also think it'd be fun with some of the tankier mages like Robin or Boey. If I ever get a third Takumi Robin (F) is getting one too.

You're right that it's more of a niche than distant counter though.

Yea... not too many of those around. The one with the best Def is Boey i think, but his Atk is awful. I thought i could make use of him, but he's just way outclassed by Nino, Soren, and Cecilia.

Infernal Clarisse was so easy. 5* Adult Tiki solos. So powerful with Quick Riposte + Fortify Dragons + Fort Square. Killed everyone, only took like 8 damage total.

Well okay Bow Lyn killed the blue mage but whatever.

Aw yeah, pulling for Soren on the Tellius banner finally worked. Well...sort of. Got him as a 4* instead of a 5*. I didn't know it was possible to pull a 4* of a character on the banner! Kind of sucks that I'm out 20k feathers because of that, but hey. I've finally got all the Tellius characters so I'm pretty stoked about that.

How many extra points does using a bonus character grant you in Arena defense? I switched to my cavalry team since it synergizes better and am hoping i can still get max feathers from it.

I believe you will only get half the points without a bonus. Same as arena offense

Young TIki vs Male Corrin

Do people like Corrin? He seems to get shit on a lot, and he doesn't have "waifu" factor going for him like his female counterpart. I think Young Tiki takes this.


Fae vs Ninian

This may be a tossup. One's an amazing Reinhardt counter, the other is a dancer. Both have the gba vote, though Ninian is in 7 while Fae is in 6. Ninian is probably more popular overall though.


Adult Tiki vs Nowi

Nowi placed 10th place in the CYL poll, so I imagine she wins out over adult Tiki.


Female Corrin vs Sophia

I'd be shocked if Sohpia wins this. F.Corrin placed fairly high on the CYL poll, where as Sophia barely cracked the top 100.


Young Tiki vs Ninian

Whoever wins gets the honor of losing in the finals.

Nowi vs Female Corrin

Whoever wins probably wins the gauntlet.

Of course if we're going by strictly how I want it to go....

I'll probably stick to dailies from this point. Unless it looks like I'll fall down a tier, or I can raise a tier. Just nice getting a good supply of orbs/feathers.

one of the less predictable gauntlets imo. even if we assume the bonus doesn't come into play, the only things i'm 100% sure about are Ninian and fem Corrin winning in round 1.

at first YTiki vs MCorrin looks obvious, but being the only male vs having another version of the same character and 2 other lolis could cost her in this format.

maybe it's a longshot, but i could see ATiki winning round 1 due to being the only sexy-looking character and again, the loli vote split.

Ninian winning round 2 is my third most confidence i can have in anything.

and then hard not to pick fem Corrin as the overall favorite after her performance in the last one, but it's possible the worse art and/or winner fatigue costs her this time.

Depends if you want the dancer for your main team, or for "another dancer for Arena Assault".

For Arena Assault, yeah, whatever, it dances.

For a core main team spot? TBH, stats definitely matter. I've been using Olivia in my core trio for Arena for ages, and obviously she dances, but she's also there to consistently one-round Hector. -ATK would be really bad on her.

In terms of Shigure specifically, I'm eyeing him as a potential replacement for MRobin as a raven tome user, but for that to even make sense as a swap, I would need to get +ATK Shigure. (Been running +ATK MRobin for ages; +ATK Shigure has 2 more attack, and thus might pick up some OHKOs MRobin misses).

Yeah, it depends what you want the dancer to do. If I'm running Olwen/Cecilia/Roy, the dancer doesn't matter much at all. But if I'm asking the dancer to be my only unit of a particular color, then I'm asking that it be capable of checking certain units.

This gauntlet is harder to predict. I feel most confident in Sophia losing so I'll side with her round one. I would think Y Tiki should win easily but the only male character may mean something

Adult Tiki and Sophia are my two favorites. Think I'll probably go with Adult Tiki in round 1 just because Nowi is the worst. (and I see that match being winnable with all the loli overlap)

I have no more space in my barracks and have barely any motivation to make space for Fir. I have 2-3 copies of her already, and the problem is Glacies has long charge and only certain units can make good use of it.

Expand your barracks.

Send a fir with bad IVs home for feathers and replace. You don't need a lot of copies of her as she doesn't have many interesting skill inheritance options.

You can just treat Fir as 150 feathers. I plan to release mine when I get it. Nobody needs Glacies and I have no interest in building her.

glacies is amazing on Sonya in AA. bait Reinhardt with her and you can kill literally anything after that. i also put it on my -atk +res Ninian (and spd+3, also from Fir). not so useful in arena in her case but then nothing really is, and it at least gives her a shot at killing stuff in TT/CC.

not too many other uses i can think of. maybe Julia or Soren in the same vein as Sonya, but not as good.
