My parents live in Smallville, which is pretty far away. They probably would treat me like a soiled snake since I don't have kids yet, but likely we don't talk about that too much.

It's kinda happening to me. It's more that they want me to find a girlfriend though, even though I'm not that interested and may, in fact, be asexual.

Pretty much. I can still feel attraction to girls, but more due to personality than due to any desire for sex. My friends will sometimes notice a girl and say something about her, but nothing happens for me. However, if I know someone with a personality I like, I like them for that reason.

I've considered the possibility that I'm bi or gay, but I have even less interest in guys so I know I'm not.

All that said, I'm only questioning whether I am asexual.

Nah. I'm fairly sure my parents regretted having my sister and I. They have gone on the record numerous times that it isn't a smart idea to have kids.

Mine have indicated that they'd be happy babysitters if I were to pop any out. Thankfully they don't seem to be in a rush

I think it's because I have a few younger siblings that are still in the "need support" phase

My mom's mentioned it in passing a few times, but nothing serious. I'm an only child though, so I'm sure there's a desire in her for me to have them.

Of course, the problem for me isn't that I don't want to have kids.

I am childfree, and my parents poked at me in jest for a while when Digi and I were first getting serious. I explained to them my position, and they were impressed that my choice was so well thought out. My parents are godparents and my sister plans on having kids so their desire to have grandbabies and all that are pretty sated.

There was never any poking or prodding for babies and now they have 7 grandchildren from all of us. So they are good.

Thanks to my older sister, I was an uncle when I was 8. So no, my parents never cared. They might be a little concerned that I seem to be exceptionally slow to start through the general progression of life as they see it, considering I've never ever been in a relationship with anyone. (I'm not asexual, but I'm bashful as hell and socially awkward, so I've never made anything resembling a successful approach on a girl.) However, even though they're now both dead, I'm pretty sure from their attitude when they were around that they wouldn't have antagonized me on anything of the sort.

Oh I have you beat. I was born an uncle and my nephew was born a month before I was.

Since my sister is my half sister on my dad's side, my dad doesn't care about whether I have kids because he has two grandsons. My mom is concerned though since I'm her only child.

With my sister having two kids 11-14 years ago, my parents weren't pressuring me at all on having any myself; mainly something they thought would be nice to happen, but never got on me about it.

That being said, I had my first and only child two years ago and all is well.

i'm single and my brother is in a relationship, so any "why don't we have grandchildren" pressure from my parents is on him.
