tax cuts for poor people was one of his premises and if they did what redsox just said, so many would be thrilled.

and bear in mind, Bannon's the one who just a few days ago said he supports taxing those making over 5 million at 44%.

He also said that his plan for healthcare was that "everybody will be covered" at "a much lower cost" and that it would be "so easy"

no the problem is the house

that's a non-starter for the HFC.

Boehner had to go to Pelosi to get basic functions accomplished because they refused to play ball. Honestly, I expect Ryan will too.

Particularly with him hyping up about upcoming news of Hillary's emails just a few hours after that email chain with Jr.

I don't remember her being officially on the campaign (maybe?), but she's in the White House now. Her husband and brother were working together for her dad who got her this new job quick, so it's likely she wasn't left out in the dark about the meeting regardless of whether she was officially staffed then.

I don't remember her being a part of it officially either. Only that she was a speaker at the convention, though that obviously doesn't make her part of it. Though IIRC she was floating policy positions and such which would only make sense if she were, or expected, to have a role. But that much was always obvious.

I actually believe that a 70 year old man baby could be easily manipulated by the people around him, yes.

Not saying it's impossible or even unlikely, just that I can't go "it's almost 100% certain he colluded with Russia personally or ordered his staff to."

Regarding reading twitter, you'll get a much better pulse of what the internet-using general public thinks on there than relying on media spin from either side of the aisle. I don't care what biased news networks think anymore; I'd rather get it right from the people.

(Yes I know people are also biased, but at least I know they're not openly lying 100% of the time.)

That doesn't explain why you get opposing viewpoints from Twitter and claim it to be part of a news outlet when you're specifically avoiding hearing what news outlets are saying.

Honestly, that's not because of the threat of the wall, or border patrol, or even (directly) anything Donald Trump's done. It's just that the attitude toward them's gotten worse (which is indirectly caused by what Donald Trump's done)

Mexico is an emerging economy and is seen as following in the footsteps of China/India/Brazil (though due to their population they won't be a major powerhouse) given the cultural similarities it isn't shocking that Central Americans are beginning to stay there.

Tourism and people crossing the border aren't exactly the same topic, but a correlation seems to exist: people outside of America are less motivated to come into America.

Then there we go. Incentives to stay and disincentives to leave (more regarding SZero's post than anything from the government) results in fewer people leaving. Crazy!

I mean there are travel ban factors at play here. Even people not actually restricted by them are going to be more deterred by that than there would be for crossing the border.

Or in other words, yeah, I'll blame Trump for being an embarrassment more there than for illegal immigration.

i'd attribute it to a mix of all of that.
well, no direct action by him, he hasn't actually done any. but the rhetoric and attitude displayed as an idea of "so these are the people I'm going to?" mixed with the ability to make some, but not as much money, in a country speaking the language you already do? yeah, that's mattered. certain things make mexico more likable, Trump is the reason things are not as likable in the US.

Now I can't speak to Mexico specifically but perception is everything. Australia is a great example - tough immigration laws, not very welcoming, still has high immigration because it's a desirable place to live. That's really what it comes down to.

You are correct, Mexico isn't very welcoming, but that doesn't change that it is increasingly becoming a better place to immigrate to.

Of course if the US decides to tank the Mexican economy with tariffs we could see more of those people immigrating to the US again.
