You can tell the budget was saved for that and this season is going to be way more action packed than I anticipated

Does anyone else find it odd that Ghost seems to have just disappeared? I get that the dragons use up a good chunk of the money but it just feels like poor writing that we haven't seen Ghost this season.

hell of an episode

The after show commentary seemed accurate; it was like watching medieval armies fighting than all of a sudden you have something like an Apache helicopter come in and just wreck everything. It gave me like an Age of Mythology feel with the normal people unable to do crap against it but then the hero unit inflicts major damage.

Bran's a dick, Bronn's a boss, Arya's legit, Littlefinger needs that smile off his face more often, Jamie still has 2 brass balls.

I theorize that Bronn will have a hand in trying to free the sand snakes and saving Tyene, so him dying here wouldn't work. They made point to mention that the poison takes awhile based on the constitution of the person.

There was enough here there without someone dying. This completely screws over Cersei with the Iron Bank. However I'm not sure about either of the Tarlys fates right now.

I loved pretty much everything this episode, especially the battle and Winterfell. Maybe in my top 3 best eps of the series.

But after thinking about it, I am a bit disappointed none of them died. I thought at first Bronn was gonna kill Drogon. Then I thought he was gonna get killed, and then I thought Jamie have died. I'm a huge Jamie fan and I would have easily accepted that as his death scene.

Someone should have died. A bit anticlimactic.

At the very least, it told Team Dany what kind of weapons they're dealing with. They better start suiting up those dragons. A group of like 15 archers can take one out? Really? They are not battle proven yet.


Also, that scene with the dragon falling out the sky wounded, screeching? That was Erie as fuck

A group of archers didn't do damage to the Dragon, the arrows bounced off his stomach. Now if Cersei can make like 20 of those ballista then she might have a chance.

After rewatching the battle they actually say in the beginning before it starts that all of the gold made it through the gates of Kings Landing. So technically the Iron Bank did get what they needed.

Cersei and Dany have basically made this 'BATTLE OF THE PLOT ARMORS' at this point. Cersei is successful beyond all reason given we have shown she's a psycho bitch who doesn't really think far ahead, "i do stuff cuz it feels good" and Dany is absolutely in-fucking-sufferable.

Then we got

Jon and Dany keep talking about 'the people the people the people' motherfucker when have 'the people' fucking mattered, EVER? All they do in this show is look angry and throw feces and run screaming whenever shit goes down, or say meesa meesa like a horde of demented jarjars.

My wild theory: Littlefinger is a Faceless One

I'd been thinking of it before. His family had history in Braavos. And now this episode, seeing it twice, I'm sure he intended to give Arya that dagger. He also has great knowledge of the Faceless Men. A little too much for a man with a name.

Not at all. You can watch Tyrion realizing how this Dothraki invasion is going to destroy his homeland and those he knows. He's guiding Daenerys to victory, what will the cost be? And it was a great set up to show how overpowering and destructive the dragons are.

I thought it may be destroying need supplies for the coming winter but yeah it was not the smartest move... Her troops need to eat too

Danny burned food storages which is a big deal and now Cersei lost the bulk of her army, of which she must now purchase the sellswords of the Golden Company, another big deal.

Edit: That end fight with Bronn was like watching the Hobbit.

Dany didn't just get out if massive debt with the Iron Bank, and I would have to imagine that she still has a sizable surplus with what she took from the slavers back across the narrow sea.

I also.would not be the least bit surprised if Euron switched sides the second he laid eyes on Dany being the hornball that he is. If we're being honest, things are not looking good for Cersei right now since her leadership style doesn't exactly inspire loyalty when times get tough. Plus, I wouldn't forget that Cersei is still on Arya's list...

Yeah, they say the gold made it to King's Landing. That said, it wasn't for nothing. A bulk of the Lannister army just got fucked up, and what is remaining will surrender (based off the clip of next episode). Plus, I think a bulk of the food supplies were destroyed, too. Plus, now Cersei will know exactly what she is dealing with. Likewise, Dany now knows that her dragons can definitely be hurt.

I don't for the simple fact they don't know dragon immunology. Qyburn would know not to do anything like that without research first.

The results could make it hyper violent for all they know.

Because you're unlikely to hit with a killing blow and poison can finish the job. And I don't think they have 100 of those things. They deployed only one in that fight and if they had even one more machine at the ready it would have been foolish to leave it unused.

True. But a poison will still weaken the dragon at a lower dose.

Everyone is worried about Dany being safe riding a dragon. I can't see her being killed by falling off her mount after so much build up. Far too anticlimactic.

Probably the coolest episode this season so far. I legit got tingles when she flew into battle on her dragon

I imagine that Jamie isn't going to die here but I'm not sure how they can explain him not drowning considering he sank pretty deep into that water, is wearing full armor, and has a gold hand attached to his wrist. There's no way he could swim or be carried back up by one person.
