Wait... they do? I read that they only upload it immediately after the episode ends, so I had to resort to using the extra shitty Directv app, which kept shitting on me every 5 minutes.

AMAZING Cold Open. Last year, I was saying that the scene where Arya cuts open Walder's throat should have been the cold open for season 7, as it had no place for the season 6 finale, but then this intro INTENSIFIED it by 10 fold! I loved it.

Loved pretty much everything, except the god awful Tarly scenes as always. Let's watch him literally clean shit and throw up for 2 whole minutes!

Also, please be careful Arya...I think she's walking into a trap. I felt it from the very beginning of that scene
Those are Lannister soldiers and they are WAY too nice. They clearly know about the description of the girl who killed the Freys and were waiting for her...

I'm hoping she also knows it's a trap and is waiting for her chance to pounce.

I don't agree with you, Jimbo. I think those soldiers don't know shit. That scene was a reminder that not every soldier is part of the grand scheme. They're just regular folks acting on orders. She was definitely considering killing them, but Arya is assumed dead and I doubt the Frey survivors gave a detailed description of what occurred and who done it.

Otherwise, Jaime and Cersei would have mentioned this, no?

That is a great point, Jamie and Cersei knew nothing about who killed the freys, only that they were killed. My suspicions will still be there if they happen to appear in the next episode, but you are right, there's no way they'd know if the Queen didn't know herself... I'm still suspicious of them though. Maybe it's because I've seen so many awful people in this show lol.

Also Cersei sure has her little birds whispering, she knows almost fucking everything lol

Yeah I've read all the books. I don't have faith in that because the show is relatively off-track in comparison. Hell, for a brief part of this episode I thought Beric Dondarion's questioning of why he's alive would give back hope to Lady Stoneheart, but nope.

My first thought about Euron's gift was (BOOK SPOILERS) the horn that controls the dragons that he brought to the Kingsmoot. They all know that Dany is coming, and that's the first gift I could think of him wanting to give Cersei. If that is the case, shit will be way worse that I thought...

I was a bit annoyed at that. I remember looking at my watch and being like "...Dany hasn't even showed up yet and there's only 5 mins left? This better be good..."

But it was ok. It was clearly better than most GoT season premieres, which have always been slow. The season always grows with each episode and the beginning is always the lowest part.

This is still better than most. That ending was teasing like nobodies business though. Atleast it was directed really well: Dany tracing her fingers over the table as Tyrion focused on the Dragon carvings :)

I didn't think the cameo or scene was too long, it felt normal to me. The only thing that confused me was that the group was WAY too nice, especially for soldiers in GoT. It set me on edge.

Same here, I had no ****en clue who Ed Sheeran was before this and it felt completely normal to me. Everyone who says "it was forced" or "awkward" are idiots who concentrated too much on him because they know him. Long black haired guy stood out for me the most out of that bunch.

I loved SIgur Ros' cameo. Their music gets a lot of complaints for being boring and repetitive, so their cameo was super fitting.
