Question: I found my old original XBox from back in the day while cleaning my garage.
I checked on Amazon and there are used version of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind available for $6 and up! The GOTY edition is about $26 and up. Have you ever played Morrowind? is it good? I know there aren't a ton of map markers and no quest markers so it's difficult, but how is the actual game? --- Been a murder, over in Riften. Some old lady who runs an orphanage. I only played about maybe an hour of it, went into a cave after exploring the first town and tried to hit some random enemy dude, after about 3 deaths and several minutes of swinging my sword at him and not doing damage I realized the combat system isn't like the other games and instead you have a chance to hit them I guess based on agility. I promptly gave up playing after that because I absolutely hate games where I can see my attacks hit something but it says I missed.
So yeah I hated it. --- equo ne credite! ... Copied to Clipboard!

supposed to be quite choice, but also quite aged.
i know a few elder scrolls fans that say Morrowind is the best, but that's just an opinion. if you don't mind a game that is clunky and hasn't aged well, but is still quite massive with depth, then go for it, especially at just a few bucks. --- Warning: Sometimes biased http://i.imgur.com/V0x5fw8.jpg http://i.imgur.com/IOovUge.gif http://i.imgur.com/zw7bqPH.jpg ... Morrowind is more... open. You got a bigger set of skills which adapts to your playing style, which gives a bigger variation in gameplay. More different weapons and you got three different attack styles instead of only one (well, two with powered attack) like in later games. The NPCs got lots to talk about.
Oblivion was more... simplified, just like how Skyrim was simplified compared to Oblivion. They removed an armor class, gave us less weapons, less skills to level up, merging some skills, etc. So while Morrowind gave you more options and alternatives, it was also less forgiving, harder and easier to mess up if you dont micromanage more. So I often found myself looking things up online because I wasn't able to find a name or location amongst the many, many entries in the journal. You can kill anyone and everyone, even quest givers. You will get a message saying someone important died though. Armor has a lot more pieces to it.
