If we get to Hatch, that means Pence, Ryan, McConnell, and the entire cabinet went down too, right?

Sounds like best case scenario.

Just to follow up on red sox's post at the end of the last topic:

Romney, McCain, Kerry, Gore, Dole...I wonder how these contenders who lost polled months afterward against the Presidents that beat them. I totally expected Donald's popularity to drop, but I don't know thst I'd assume Hillary beats him just because of that. She's been an afterthought for some time now, and most of the news we hear about her is bad news.

I get why Hillary's brought up since she was the Democratic nominee, but the comparison I wish would be shown more often is how Donald would do against Bernie. That's where you'll find the "reversal*" America expects with this poor reception of Donald.

*lol reversal Bernie was favored over Donald bigly months before the election too

Ulti, seriously, when Trump is on the record implicating HIMSELF in at least one impeachment-worthy crime...what more evidence do you NEED? You're like that Chappelle's Show skit where he's being vetted as a juror for the R. Kelly trial.

Only a liberal would be dumb enough to think telling Russia how to prevent planes from getting blown up is treason.

Oh wait, you guys also think he obstructed justice with "can't you let this go?" about a guy that did nothing wrong.

Guess it makes sense the Pro Tem would outrank the SoS.

Either way, still means at least that Ryan goes down, and if he goes down Mitch probably does too (based on my gut feeling, nothing to back it)

If Democrats really want to win, they should make Bernie party leader. And push Clinton, Pelosi and Schumer into retirement. It would not necessarily lead to victory because the Dems have already conceded first mover advantage to the Republicans (Bernie would have won 2016 easily), but it would give them a strong chance.

There doesn't appear to be any sign that the old guard of the Democratic Party learned much of anything from the election though, and they appear to want to stick around in power a long time.

Realtalk, the way for the Dems to win again is to just nominate a likeable candidate, irrespective of ideology.

Gore: boring
Kerry: phony elitist
Obama: charismatic
Clinton: corrupt phony elitist

I think Ulti might be broken now though. The entirety of the_donald is at the moment, honestly. Nothing about policy at all, and they are entirely focused on the SETH RICH conspiracy nonsense. The sad thing is I think most of them actually believe it, and aren't just using this as a distraction.

Ulti, I'm trying to be fair here. You don't trust polls because they incorrectly predicted a Hillary win. Fine. But throughout the election, you cited RealClearPolitics as being accurate and unbiased. Fine. RCP currently lists Trump at a 39.9-55.1 approval-disapproval split. That's over half the country that disapproves of Trump. Is it THAT far fetched to think impeachment IS something that half of the country cares about?

So why did Comey hold on to that memo for three months if it was so damning? If it was impeachable, he'd have MORE incentive as an actual FBI director to release it and assist in impeachment were it legitimate.

If Comey were a hard line Republican, literally every liberal in here would call him an idiot with an axe to grind.

Reminder -- all liberals wanted Comey fired as recently as 2 weeks ago. Then he gets fired and liberals magically love the guy.

It is truly hilarious watching liberals act like Comey is the word of God after spending 6 months or so demanding he resign.

But there are plenty more weird cuts planned that you likely haven't heard about, like to small-town airports and train stations. All told, around 220 cities could soon lose passenger rail service. And not big cities; the cuts would fall heaviest on outer suburban and rural areas -- the people who put Trump in office, essentially.

It is adorable watching you play the nice guy act when anyone paying attention knows you're full of shit, though :)
