I wish we could have started 1 match per day in Round 2, because at least that would have helped out 1995 and 2000 by allowing them to use their best possible line-up in the match pictures. This contest schedule change would have only increased the length of the contest by 4 days.

When I told Ulti that I think this contest schedule is too short and should be modified so Round 2 is 1 match per day, he disagreed with me and thought the contest schedule was fine. After today's result, I don't think Ulti can defend the contest schedule that Allen chose here.

Although now I'm thinking 1991 and 1994 are both probably not as strong as we originally thought.

Yeah 1994 has tumbled from 69% in that first hour to under 62 and still falling, while 91 has stumbled from 59 to well under 55. So 2004 was still unfortunate but probably isn't THAT far ahead of the rest of "decent years outside of the 90s" like 2002, 2011, 2008, 2007. Maybe 2003 and 2005 as well, we'll find out next round.

2004 could of had made a lot of noise potentally in another place in the bracket, easily the most hosed over year in terms of placement.

The picture factor is inarguable at this point, poor 2000 :( a fair representation in the match pic would of had it winning fairly easily, I am surprised 2000 kept it that close with such a disavantage, given I said pre picture reveal of round 3 that if it got the same bad picture as last round, 96 would win that match.

A pity that the custom pictures are coming too late, I think 97 performance easily makes it the favourite next round vs 96 but with fair representation, I feel like 2000 could of had made a match of it, the off chance 96 somehow keeps it close on 97, would make the bad match picture nonsense stack on top a lot worse

The current match ups going on right now, I feel like 91 and 94 are trying to outdo trying to stink up the joint, but 91 went from being the favourite in the first comparsion to looking awful the round after, 91 already looks like it is the turd of the round quite easily, the question for 03 vs 05 though, how much does having Zelda going to matter over not having it, I basically took 03 cause it had a mainline Zelda and 05 did not

Well, today's match confirms 1995 suffered from the most extreme match picture penalty we've ever seen in the contests. This has to be even worse than Zero Suit Samus in 2006 almost losing to Tifa.

The results as they stand right now would project 1987 to break 47% on 2001, which we know would never happen in a real match between 1987 and 2001. I'd probably predict 2001 to at least break 70% on 1987 and probably even push for 75%.

Well, 1987 is the only year that is in serious need of an adjustment, although 2000 and 2006 suffered from a far less extreme penalty from their match pictures. 2006 probably could have still lost even if KH2 and FFXII were in the match picture, while I think 2000 would have definitely beaten 1996 with with Pokemon GSC in the picture.
