I've been thinking about replaying this game before hooking up the PS4 and starting P5. Actually beat it in a day the first time around and never went back to it. So it's short enough to give it a go really.

This game is okay almost halfway through (still stuck on the last stage of Inquisition). Story is predictable but hasn't quite wandered into cringe-worthy yet despite having such an unlikable, spineless lead. Gameplay is decent but marred by a poor, slow camera and no tab to look at all those techniques that they keep showing you.

I've beaten this game on Normal and Easy, but can't pass Inquisition on Hard. Some of those puzzles are really evil.

to get a gold it’s mostly a matter of not letting the chain break at all but that is actually not a big deal unless you're playing on hard since you can undo moves with select

I played through this entire game with a group of like three male friends and one female friend, and the one woman in our group was annoyed that we kept picking all of the most non-committal answers throughout the entire game and wanted us to pick one of the two girls (even if it was the bad one!), and we basically just went NEUTRAL NEUTRAL NEUTRAL every time questions came up, and at the end when we got the neutral ending and we WENT TO SPACE we all fucking CHEERED our asses off at how great it was and she looked super annoyed. goddamn that was the funniest shit ever, I have good memories of Catherine

Gameplay is easily the best part of the game. I wouldn't say all the characters are awful. Vincent so far has basically no redeeming qualities, and Catherine/Katherine are idiots. The rest are basically there to remind Vincent that he has no redeeming qualities or fail to deceive the player into thinking he has some.

I finished Quadrangle and am now at Clock Tower. For whatever reason, I was absolutely in the zone in Quadrangle's "boss" stage. I fully expect to fall back down to earth now.

Played this about a year ago and enjoyed it even though some of the later levels were really frustrating. Ended up with a bad ending where I try to stay with Katherine and she breaks up with me even though I spent the entire game trying to get with Catherine. I guess I made one decision at the end that sent me back on the Katherine path but it was way too late.

I was wrong. I still have one more stage left after Cathedral. I am really hoping that this is another one-level stage. Luckily, I have 99 retries available.

I died probably a dozen times on Cathedral, almost all because of bad luck on where the lightning bolts would strike. Sometimes, they would land on blocks that made it impossible to do anything to rectify the situation. I also died once getting to the end and rushing to the top only to find out that you can actually go too far ahead of Katherine.

I finally beat it. The final area was a mixed bag of difficulty. The boss stages were arguably the easiest, but screw that first boss stage. The camera kept moving around when he was about to kick, and I could never figure out where to move to avoid it.

My ending just had Katherine wondering if she wanted a white dress and Vincent yet to determine who to invite to the wedding. I like how Boss didn't actually die and is still the bartender at the Stray Sheep.

Well, now it is time to hunt for all the endings online (unless you masochistically want to play this over 7-8 more times). Unless you want to do a super secret thing, there's also another ending involving Midnight Venus.

Not really interested in that. I did make a save back in the Stray Sheep so that I could try the Repunzel game and go for some gold awards. Whose bright idea was it to lock people out of something cool on paper like Babel mode by forcing them to get gold awards on the higher difficulties?

well I thought they patched in the easy and very easy difficulties after release, as well as the ability to undo moves on normal

which like I said earlier makes it pretty easy to get golds on normal

I actually was not connected to the internet, so I never downloaded that patch, I played on normal, and I could undo moves.
