It's kinda dumb because I'm kinda lukewarm on the bride banner

Lyn would be cool for the inheritable healer skills and I kinda like Charlotte and Cordelia but would kinda prefer normal versions of them (I know Charlotte doesn't have one yet, but still!)

You'll get another shot at Xander when they bring his GHB event back. Camus, Reinhardt, and Titania are my only 5* cavalry so far. My Titania is pretty lackluster though. Minus speed

Xander at least looks better than Camus because there is basically no better Red horse unit than him, while Camus has to compete (and lose to) Reinhardt.

I spent 135 Orbs on the Bridal banner and actually managed to get Caeda like I wanted. I also finally got my first Nino.

3* Nino : -Atk, +Spd : I'm promoting her to 5*
5* Caeda (Bride) : True neutral
5* Klein : -Atk +Spd : He's my only half decent archer. I might still scrap him to give DB3 to more +Atk Cordelia

Klein should always be +ATK. he's got a Brave Bow and has good but not great speed, so he's still not getting 4 hits in usually.

-Atk Klein is particularly bad because it's -4 Atk. The problem is I have no other remotely usable archer and almost never pull on colourless. As a result, he doesn't have any competition for the archer slot.

Try placing Reinhardt in your 4th spot and Ninian in your 3rd. Pick another speedy mage and a random bonus character. My arena defense team has been Reinhardt/Azura/Tharja and a throwaway which has been getting me 5-10 defenses per week typically

1st spot is a 3* Olivia
2nd is Nino
3rd is Ninian
4th is Reinhardt

Hmm. Why don't you try dropping Ninian altogether while Olivia is a bonus character? They do the same thing and it will allow you to run another threat. Olivia's level doesn't really matter as long as she has dance. I got 10+ defenses the last two weeks with a level 14 Alphonse so it might be helpful in some ways.

Alright, decided to swap Ninian with M.Robin. The (regular) Cordelia I pulled was - Att so I figured I may as well give TA2 to Robin, then I gave him a Speed Rally from Giaus to boost Nino.

i still don't have a defense win either and don't have Reinhardt to fall back on. i don't normally get all that many wins anyway, but still, usually 2 or 3. oh well, i'm not super in need of feathers anyway.

I got weak and drew 2 whole orbs on the bride banner, and ended up with a 3* Gordin and a 5* Klein (+HP/-Def).

Then while trying to get a Bride Cordelia to make use of that Brave Bow+ and Deathblow 3, I got a Bride Lyn. All within 30 orbs. Calling it quits there.

Wait, are you more likely to get defenses if you put the bonus char in slot 1?

The first character on your team is the one your opponent sees in the preview. Some people like to put a "weak" character in that slot to try and encourage other players to fight them and hopefully lose. It's difficult to gauge how effective this is.

I feel like the team preview is entirely useless info. Like if I'm doing the arena, I'm picking the advanced fight every time, and I'm not gonna not do that if I see Takumi or Hector or Azura there -- and that would be true even if they weren't on every team anyway, regardless of the preview character.

Hm. So I'm torn on what to do with this Bride Lyn, I want to make a joke healer out of her Candlelight and maybe even Takumi's Close Counter. Best candidates seem to be Azama for huge defense but jobs to mages, Wrys for huge res but jobs to physical, or Lissa for good both but dies to the best units of both.

Choosing beginner or intermediate will automatically kill your score so people won't do that. However, you can surrender on team preview without breaking your streak. Some people may do that if they see a preview character that is a particularly bad matchup. But as I said, it's hard to gauge how many people actually do that. Like if I see someone lead with Wrys, I bail out since that's really blatantly bait.

Oh wow I legitimately had no idea about this.

Even still I feel like the number of possible teams I can't deal with is... extremely small. And involves multiple Hectors. And even then I could probably take it depending on their boons/banes.

Another thing you can do with the surrender button is to fish for higher point opponents. You intentionally surrender at team preview to teams that give a lower amount of points. You can burn through dueling swords in pursuit of a higher arena tier.

Also I wonder if I should go for the highest rank I can, or go for the lowest rank that gives me the max orbs in my current tier(Currently in 11).

Even if you only get 4000 points a week, you'll eventually float up into Tier 16 or 17. There's no real reason to intentionally hold back.

For my own ouch story, i upgraded my Jagen to 4* without realizing he needs to be 5* to get Fury 3. My three copies are now pretty useless to me >_>

Fury 2 is a pretty good skill as well. You can still use it to buff a not quite main team material character you have.

I'm not gonna lie:

I got three 5*'s in my last two 20-orb pulls.

Okay so we have quite a bit of info going on... some that was given to us, and some datamined. I'll go with the former first.

Version 1.4 info

Tempest Trails are coming(Though unavailable until tomorrow). No new info regarding that.


We now get 8 teams, instead of 4. We can also name the teams. Oh and you can now choose what team will be your defense team. Finally, you can have your lead unit be whoever you want, without worrying how well they fit on defense (Remember to get into one battle for the game to recognize the change to your defense team).


Accept All button added to the quest screen. Additionally, if you're done with all the quests in a list, there will be a clearer indication and the list will be automatically moved to the right side.


You can see how many times a unit has been merged by clicking on their level now, instead of going to their status screen. There's also a slight change to your character's icon if they're +10'd, but I don't think any of us are whales :P

Here's one I really like. You can choose if double tapping a unit will make them wait or not. We can also choose "Auto-Advance" in the Auto Battle Text so it automatically goes through battle text, including level ups.


Maps with alternative win conditions(Such as survival maps) now have the win condition shown to you at the start of the battle.

And finally load times for the arena are reduced, and apparently less data transmitted during play.
