Cook the ramen noodles in water in the microwave, then add the powder. Let it sit a few minutes then eat it.
The directions don't say to add the powder then microwave.

Put the noodles in a bowl, boil hot water on the stove, pour water into the bowl. Just enough to cover the noodles. Tastes much better if the noodles aren't super soft. Put the sauce in just after you've started stirring.

I start with my favourite pot and use boiling water to cook raw vegetables and meat balls or whatever else then add the noodles until it boils again. By then I remove it from the heat and add the packets, stir it then dump everything into a bowl to consume.

If I have leftovers I can add them at the end and cut the first step entirely, or if I'm lazy I can just keep everything in the pot and skip the bowl entirely which is a good option if I want to eat it later and not start immediately.

If I'm extra lazy I can start with the bowl and add everything at once minus anything raw and cover the bowl after adding boiling water and letting it sit for 5-10 minutes.

P.S. I seldom buy/use cup noodle containers because the portions are too small and I don't think the cost/convenience is worth it.

Cook the noodles in a pot
Drain the pot (get rid of the residue on those cheap noodles)
Put in new water, just enough to make up the "soup" and mix in the powder
Cook until just boiling again

I make it a whole meal because noodle alone does not sate hunger.

Put water in pot and let it boil. Then crack egg into pot. Add meat and vegetables in some form (meatball, spam, hot dog, kimchi, potstickers, wonton, etc.). Cook for several minutes. Add noodles and seasoning. And shrimps if you like (but don't cook them for too long). Frequently raise and lower the noodle in and out of the water until right softness.

Boil 2 packages of noodles in a pot, without any seasoning.

Cut up some ny strip steak (partially frozen) into very thin slices.

Stir fry the steak with mushrooms, onions and bell peppers in a pan.

Add the noodles (After draining them) into the pan, then mix in the sauce (combo of Teriyaki and Seshuan for a spicey Teriyaki sauce).

Add some spices (red pepper flakes + garlic and pepper generally).

Mix it together.

Enjoy.

The instructions usually say you should put the flavor packet in after the noddles are cooked but I always put them in with the noodles because I'm hoping it makes it more flavorful.

I throw an egg, or some precooked meat that can be warmed up through boiling water if I feel like it.

For ramen I boil water in a pot and then put the noodles in the boiling water until noodles are cooked. I then add seasoning packet.

For cup a noodle I boil water in a pot and then pour boiling water into the cup. Then I put something on top of the lid and let it cook in the cup.

one kind I used to eat a long time ago (was just called "yaki soba") was made by frying it in a small amount of water. you then added the sauce after the water was all absorbed/boiled away.

(ok I guess it also says chow mein)

I cooked both ways but I just much prefer microwaving cup ramen. I only cook on stove if I have ramen packs since I can't directly microwave that.
