Will go read Crystal Chronicles mafia again after I wake and come home btw - I did that with an eye on Ulti the first time (at corrik's behest while researching him), but studying Corrik should be useful too. I'll provide impressions on that (I'm also still trawling through mtgsalvation stuff to try and develop any kind of read on Chris as well, but that's going kinda slower. I feel like FFCC takes priority because these lynches feel wrong to me and I wanna see if it can change my mind or not).

If Ulti is somehow Town, Chris and Johnbobb are likely scum. But, I am so confident in Ulti being scum that I am not going down that road right now.

I agree with this btw - I think the 'Ulti is venomous' tell is a much stronger one for whether you're scum or not. Town Ulti is active in scumhunting, but scum ulti is aggro. Like you go after the players more than their plays, if that makes any sense.

I never said you were town. I said you were a good lynch regardless of what your alignment is. Which is true. Speaking of reads, to answer Corrik's earlier question...

My only town read as of now is MZero-- that's mostly because I'm not looking for town reads at the moment, though. Well also Leo because the claim is too good but that's kinda cheating. Also Johnbobb because I kinda felt like he got way too much suspicion early despite having similar play to a bunch of other players. Kinda feel like a scum with a similar pedigree wouldn't get that, and I think what little posts he has made have been good

Scum reads would be Oddity and Death. I feel like they've had a higher concentration of "faked" reactions to posts than other players. Don't really claim to have good reads until days end though. When votes are flying that's when the true color of a man is exposed.

Jokes are often much more in the execution than the content. I felt he played it straight, so I asked where the joke aspect was beyond the reference I understood-- I'm still not convinced that wasn't the case but his reaction was adequate to the point that it's not an "obv scumslip" or whatever either so it's been marked as a neutral for the moment, but something to consider later if he does something I think is scummy.

Overall would say the line of questioning was helpful even if it didn't clarify all that much on benjamin for me because I think the interaction with Death that spawned off it helped clarify where I stand on that front.

IGCD wasn't joking with me I don't think. I definitely wasn't joking with him. I noticed earlier you took my response to him as a joke. I didn't feel it was worth the effort to clarify since I kinda said as much in the moment and I guess you glossed over it, but I was more or less being serious in my response to him, with a bit of a lightheartedness to it, but serious nonetheless.

I think voting him over asking if Menuwars is in the game is a pointless vote. The entire reasoning can't possible be anything but a nulltell. Menu posted in the signup topic. He thought he was in the game. He wasn't. What does checking to see if he was in the game in the initial post or not have to do with alignment?

It's about what you're posting. Scum like posting things that are of no importance to give the illusion of being active. I don't see how that's a bad read, and I think it's one of the only reads you're likely to get day 1.

That and that was only half the reason I voted him-- the other him observing Chris was "lacking conviction" and "not ragey" based off of literally two posts. The two combine to get a fairly solid basis for an early vote I think. I still think it's the best vote too-- just not enough to try and railroad town into him.

Well I need to sleep early day at work tomorrow that probably needs more than 4 hours of sleep but I'll have to settle for 4. Might be a late day too, but I'll definitely be here by 8pm EST the latest, which would be a solid 3 hours before deadline. If Ulti flips scum I personally would start by investigating players he has randomly put votes on today as I feel he has been moving his vote around with little reason for it in most cases, which could possibly be a gambit to help "clear" his buddies in the event of his demise on the vote records, without applying any real pressure to them. Would need to go back and actually find the votes to narrow that down as none have jumped out at me.

I'm not sure if he did this in CT Mafia as I didn't pay attention for the first 3 topics but maybe someone with a better memory will confirm or deny this behavior occurred in this game or any others.

Investigate all except me, of course. I KNOW I'M TOWN.

Shit, I was hoping to catch up on the game before I left for work. I'm not going to have a lot of time when I do get home to really do some serious thinking. Ulti's early claim is what makes me think he's town;however, corrik is setting off my towndar so hard it hurts. I wish I had time to go back and really evaluate. So instead I'm going to propose a third option.

Please lynch Mzero or Johnbob. Mzero has felt scummy to me all game, fixating on little things that don't matter and in general just setting off my scumdar. Johnbob is uselessly inactive which he apparently does as scum, kill it with fire. Either are fine. If one of Ulti/Corrik is scum at this point my gut says it's Ulti. During the night I'm probably going to read up on some of these games that are being referenced. But I really think you're both town.

By the way Ulti can be scum in theory but he is also right in that he isn't being a huge ass right now like he can be, so calling what Ulti is doing trolling is pretty silly. I think Ulti is town though because he seems to care about the game state while as scum he cackles and watches it burn.

Death that I remember, granted it has been awhile and I am past my prime now clearly, was an incredible town player but sneaky about it. Not getting that feeling from him here and he's said some queer things.
