That would be pretty dumb. Fortunately I think there are dozens of other things to do for non English speaking wrestlers that don't in fact involve dance routines

Just speculating, but I think Nakamura may have suggested his introduction. He said recently that his ring entrance is so important that it's like 90 percent of his gimmick, so he might have thought that just doing the entrance would be enough. I do agree that the segment was missing some sort of "yes, and..."

Eh, I think Nakamura's debut creates intrigue.

95% of people debut in a match or by attacking somebody, and half of them go nowhere. I think by making Nakamura's entrance out to be such a huge deal, you create interest in people wanting to see what the hell makes him such a big deal, as opposed to just wondering "Will this guy be another Apollo Crews"

i'm okay with the entrance debut because it's mostly a teaser. for fans who know him, they're excited. for those who don't, they're wondering why those people were excited.

he just needs to follow it up with a good match. though i'm not sure why he's with the Miz.

That's actually the part I like to an extent

Nakamura came out to Miz's segment and made it his own without saying a word or even interacting with the guy directly. He just came out and the attention was 150% on him, with Miz pretty much being forgotten about

And given Miz's character of loving the spotlight and feeling important, that is THE way to fuck with him

So I drove a lot this weekend and caught up on Talk is Jericho.

Big Cass was alright. Not terribly interesting.

Roman Reigns was good. He's a cool guy. He said some odd things though. He said that he loves the cinematic part of wrestling and that he tells all the new guys they have to master and know where that hard cam is... after he totally screwed up where the hard cam is with the Undertaker though. He's also very off-putting when he addresses the fans booing or criticize him, saying that Dusty Rhodes told him that he has "it" so he doesn't take people seriously when they say he has no charisma. Saying disparaging things about people who boo him while also saying he doesn't mind it and he's happy people are making noise and doesn't care. He also said that his dad wasn't actually pissed off over how Brock vs Roman went with Seth cashing in, but that he was just "really into it" which struck me as odd. But he does admit that he has a habit of rubbing people the wrong way and he knows that, so I mean, I guess it's good that he's aware but it at least makes sense since a lot of his interviews kind of leave you with a negative impression of him. Overall, he seemed like a cool enough guy.

Kurt Angle had a really cool interview though talking about his times in WWE, learning how to be a pro wrestler, his fights with Eddie and Brock backstage, and he is really mellow and humble now compared to how he was when he was really bad. Apparently Kurt has a program he runs for people post-rehab now though which is really cool of him. Overall, he seems like a totally different person from the times where he did interviews and sounded like a mad man. Very happy for him.

Ok, obviously this means pinfall finishers, stuff like hooks would be if anyone ever escaped out of.

And I think there are probably a multitude that have never been escaped from.

I don't think Bret's Sharpshooter was ever escaped from, Austin passed out, and HBK went to OT, but I don't thgink anyone ever escaped. I'm sure there are a few.
