My 2 5* Effie's are both at level 40 now and I'm not sure which one to merge into the other

They're the same except the HP and defense is reversed. I'm assuming the 3 DEF is more valuable right?

Defence is better if you're giving her a special attack like Bonfire or Ignis, but there's not a massive difference there to be honest.

Tharja + Eirika + Ninian is such an insane core in arena it hurts. I'm literally having my mandatory bonus unit just sit in the back and no team can even come close to stopping me. This'll basically eliminate any pressure to pull for anything other than characters I like from here on, so yay. Time to save up for Ike or Soren, whichever we get first.

I've been getting over 4400 each week with a Tharja/Eirika/Azura core as well. The bonus character just needs to stay out of the way

Same thing here, but with Tharja/Sharena (with Rally Speed)/Olivia. My biggest problem is that every single unit has fairly low res, so ideally, I want a green high-res unit. Anna was perfect last time, but Michalis is....alright.

christ, that +atk Effie would still one-shot my +def Lucina during my turn (i actually use Lucina to help kill Effie occasionally. Luna too strong).

No, its 100 base points as long as you win

As long as you have at least 10 friends, you get 100 points per win. If you use a character that matches your team, you get 110. Characters stats and level don't matter.

sakura's pretty bad as a healer, though i think she has good stats for one. Physic is just very limiting in use and her balm isn't much better. serra's speed balm, lissa's attack balm, those are better. considering lissa's got rehabilitation, she's a better healer too.

Lissa is also really durable for some reason. And she gets renewal. She's probably the best healer all around, but I hear arguments for Priscilla and Elise.

I think Lucius is the best healer and it's not particularly close. Healers' skills don't actually matter because everything they do is transferrable to every other healer, so even moreso than other classes all that matters are the stats. Lucius' defense stat is garbage which means he ends up with strong everything else, giving him a unique healer niche in that he can duel strong mages quite effectively if you give him Pain or even Assault. He can also soften up melee physical enemies nicely, which matters a lot more than you think when your frontliner can't afford to take damage this turn. He dies to physical attacks very quickly but there isn't a single healer in the game who should be anywhere near those guys, with the exception of maybe Azama.

The mounted healers can make a case due to the extra movement, but I don't think healers need that extra movement in general and they have a slightly lower BST which hurts in Arena. Trees also suck for them!

Otherwise, any healer that has Rehabilitate is good and any healer that doesn't is garbage. Everything else is just a bonus. If you have a healer you want to use and they don't have Rehabilitate, have them inherit it or they'll be useless.

The problem with healers is that they are largely garbage due to the meta largely being 'ORKO or lose'. You'd have to build a team around them specifically I think, like maybe coupling one with Effie?

If healers were able to provide overflow HP, I think they would suddenly become very useful as they could potentially prevent ORKO's

Healers are super underrated imo, they're excellent on teams that revolve around baiting enemy attacks. Their real problem is that their low BST makes them hard to justify. Plus you're always stuck with a random bonus unit who probably sucks, and including a healer means you might only have two decent offense units on your team. Arena is dumb like that.

healers kinda suck because support units as a concept either dominate or suck in the meta right now. support is a secondary thing you do, ala Rally Attack or Hone/Goad skills. alternatively it's a Dancer, who in addition to giving a second turn and provides passive buffs, are all capable of offense on the side. healers aren't really. even with 35+ base attack they don't impress because no healer offensive skill is good.

After you complete the initial April quests, there should be more that become available. Do any of those give out orbs? I need any additional ones I can find.

That's what they used to do with the Normal. Hard and Lunatic difficulty level monthly quests. They got rid of it in favour of release all the sets of quests from the start. We tend to get more quests during the back half of the month like the 10th stratum quests last month. That won't help you if you are trying to get Kagero, though.

To prevent them from being "broken", because they would be able to heal and deal pretty good damage

God I hate that these battle gauntlets end at a few hours before the day flips, instead of ending as the day flips. As someone who often does quests at the end of the day, I've lost a lot of feathers/flags due to the battle arena not being open when I log in late.

To be perfectly honest the only healing move which is good enough to justify the nerf healers get is Rehabilitate. Everything else is perfectly competitive with other assist skills (Reposition/Swap/Draw Back in particular are excellent) and of course Sing/Dance. And you can get those on units who do full damage and can use weapons with much cooler effects (compare Fear with Dark Breath for a good laugh).

You can still do worthwhile things with Rehabilitate for sure; it depends on the fight. But overall it makes healers feel not great.

It's same bonus as previous rounds. If your team wins, you get 500 Feathers.

the feather bonus also doubled for category, so being on the losing one can technically be better on the finals. if your feather rate would be the gap between 2 tiers, you're set.

of course, everyone is dumping their flags in the finals so that's still harder than it sounds.

Yeah I think I've lost like 5000 feathers due to these shifting deadlines. Between matchups closing before 3am EST to ' calculate ' and Arena closing like 7 hours early to 'calculate ' this game is really annoying. Would be much happier if they changed start times and made end times consistent from day to day rather than me needing to remember 5 separate ones depending on what arbitrary cutoff point whatever we're doing has.
