A, and I still get a bit freaked out sometimes. But I've already had my car broken into once here and my nearest gas station serves everyone through bulletproof glass after 10 PM. So yeah.

As for knocking, always. I couldn't imagine just going in unless someone had like, given me a key explicitly for that purpose.

True story: At the break of dawn back in gradeschool, I was up and was preparing my breakfast when I noticed something peculiar on the sofa. It was everything that I put into my schoolbag.

Later we found out that the house was broken into, but the school bag was the only thing he/she/it/they took. They even left the freakin' money bills hidden inside and just stole the bag.

My friends are the kinds of guys who just walk into everyone's houses and I think it's rude. One of my friend's mom told me another of my friends walked in when it was just her in her underwear and it was weird as hell. That's why I always just wait outside and call from them to answer the door. I refuse to just walk in.
