Pokemon TCG >>> Pokemon Snap

Though I do kind of have a problem with the way TCGs are run electronically after playing Magic 2012.

The Pokemon TCG has changed so much, anyone who liked the old game should be wary about how complex it is now.

I bought a cheap YGO DS game last year and found they completely changed the way the decks are structured. I was not pleased.

He just wanted to give more spotlight to Non-specific Action Figure.

I just know because me and a friend got interested in the game again after playing MTG for a while, so we bought these championship decks to see.

The game was way faster, and involved a lot more "strategy" in the abilities and Trainer/Stadium cards.. Raw power and HP was really downplayed, as was the Energy/Color system. I think one of our decks had 4-6 Energy cards in it.
The first set had a feel of slowly "building" up your pokemon with evolution and stuff, while these decks were about abusing combos and stacking of abilities, drawing/playing lots of cards in a single turn.

Keep in mind these were top-tier styles of play, but it's enough to see all the cards from the old set would be absolutely terrible now.

And what do you think I was talking about? Professor Oak let you draw seven cards, which is incredibly strong action advantage. Super Energy Removal took like two or three energies from your enemy, neutering them. That's really, really powerful.

I'm pretty sure it's impossible to complain about Nintendo rehashing when other than Mario they haven't made anything else more than twice this gen.

meanwhile Microsoft's got 4 Halos (5 counting Wars, but I wouldn't so long as you don't count Other M with Prime 3), 4 Forzas, and 3 Gears. And Sony's got 4 Ratchet, 3 Uncharted, 3 Resistance, 2.5 inFamous, and 2 LBPs, and 2 Killzones

not to mention 3rd parties (lol 7 CoD and 5 Assassin's)
