I agree, the X1 has an extremely poor UI, and incredibly bloated installs that fill a 500gb hard drive in no time.

It's still my pick of this generation home consoles, great exclusives, plus multiplats and backward compatibility.

Good for you, I generally don't either but I do sometimes when I don't want the game anymore and I can still get decent $ for it. Or a game gets rare and goes up in value I'll sell it for a profit and put that towards new games. I also trade with people locally and friends. Moving my games around at good times to do so just helps me get more new games to play. You can't do that with digital.

Okay digital say $20 and physical $30. You can still sell that $30 for $20 when done and save $10. Just an example.

Or that $30 might be a niche title and go up in value to say $40 or $50 and you're up $. Limited run games for example.

Value reasons alone are enough to go physical, all other reasons are just gravy.

Insurance helps yes. I have a safe for more top value stuff like hyper Duel on Saturn, sealed games and such. About 25% of the value of my collection is in a safe. It's all insured and we'll documented.

I never seem to have trouble with space for my games, to be honest... Haha. I guess it depends on how you display it, though. If you display it...

I display them in bookshelfs. I have a dedicated room in the house for my gaming collection and figures/resins. Physical collections do take up a lot of space if they are large collections. I have just under 1000 physical games. No shovel ware junk.

So... start the downloads on one of the other days and let it download while you're at work and couldn't ply anyway? Start the download you want on Sunday morning before you eat breakfast/shower/do chores so it's ready by the time you're done? Downloading is a very passive thing, usually. Once you get it rolling, you don't have to do anything with it until it's done, so it's very easy to work it into doing other things, if you plan ahead.

The best you've done so far is say that you can't resell it, which I personally don't consider to be an issue because I don't sell my games, so I'm not sure you're quite in a strong enough position to act like that. Step it up, dude.

My physical game collection is worth over 20k USD, maybe over 25k. If all my games were digital the only value I'd have is the systems. That's a LOT of money loss if digital.. that's a huge factor.

Next would be making money ( yes 90% or more of the time modern games lose value ) but all my retro stuff went way up over the years. Lots of modern CE games went up though like Breath of the wild Master Edition for example.

Physical you can trade. To stores or friends.

Lending is better for physical. So long as you lend to a good friend. Being an adult I don't have issues lending to other adults.

I'm sure there is more reasons but the $ value reasons are enough of a reason.

Oh add storage, Physical is usually better in this regard.

Also add that with physical it's always mine to use, with digital the servers to re download will go down one day and you lost the game.

Thought of more reasons, you can buy physical used so cheaper. Also sales can be better on physical. Most cases cheaper physical over digital.

I'll think of more reasons probs ;)

For future reference, this can be considered a moddable offence.

You need to be more nuanced and not directly insult or imply that you're insulting others and have them insult themselves if you want to go about this.

Otherwise it can be marked as flaming (Even if you just use things like "stupid" "idiot" or other low level ones that you'd hear on a school yard.) and could result in action taken against you, and depending on the severity of it and your past history, it can end up with a substantial karma reduction and a suspension.

Mods are cracking down even on basic ones like this compared to a few years ago when they only really cared if you said genuinely offensive things.

In other words they're ultra uptight. I've even been modded for saying something that isn't even debatable.

Maybe if they cost less because games don't have instruction manuals anymore, and in this instance, no case either. You don't even pay for a disc, but digital copies are the same cost as the physical copy usually. If there were consumer protection laws here like the game can never be locked out or the developer will owe the purchaser a full refund, etc.
