I'd say there are specific situations where being white doesn't give you specific benefits, but generally white people (in America at least) benefit from being white. It's almost never an overall negative. I grew up in an area that was majority hispanic and while I got occasional hatred from other students at school, the teachers were always great to me, and I was almost never hassled for my race by anyone other than kids. When my family later moved to a majority white area, I definitely wasn't at a disadvantage because of my skin (obviously).

The thing is, white people's "advantages" are just what life is like in a homogeneous society. "Not being discriminated against for your race" isn't a privilege, it's the default. You go to any racially homogenous country and you won't ever hear "gee I sure am thankful I don't get discriminated against for my race". It's an issue people in a minority group experience, not a privilege people in the majority group enjoy.

Hillary using her status as a woman as a campaign strategy isn't sexism, though. It's a fact that there's never been a woman president. It's a fact that women have been oppressed historically. It's a fact that not that long ago women couldn't even vote or become senators. It's significant then that she was a woman, and it would have been obtuse to ignore that.

All of these things have significant political merit and pointing them out or using them as a part of your strategy is not sexism.

It would have been sexism if her strategy was more like "don't vote for a man", or "he's a man, he doesn't know what he's talking about".

It is absolutely sexism. Whether you think it is a good or bad thing is another issue.

Visual definitely. I had a really big interest in drawing growing up but I never pursued it in full.

Nowadays I'm more interested in 3D environmental art but I just don't have the time or resources to pursue it either. The most I do is make maps in Halo and Far Cry 2-4. If I were to follow my dreams I would be a level artist for a game studio.


I also like music but I wouldn't say I'm interested in performing arts because I honestly hate theater.

I would prefer to wear mine at stubble length but I don't have even thickness and parts of it are blonde as opposed to dark brown, so it's hard to see unless it's all relatively long.

Relationships are work, particularly if you aren't a good match (which is even less likely when you're desperate). No point in putting forth the time and effort into maintaining this kind of relationship just for the sake of having one. The bad tends to outweigh the good.

I have pretty severe social anxiety so it's next to impossible for me to find anyone to begin with, despite people saying I'm attractive and the few people who actually know me really enjoying my company. I've had two relationships in my 24 years, neither of which were good. I held on to them because I didn't want to be alone, and I had to convince myself I liked them. It's basically all about raw companionship. The girls were unattractive both physically and personally, so being intimate with this kind of person and forcing yourself to love them just so you can have somebody really eats away at you with some really deeply conflicting emotions.

Staying away from these bottom-of-the-barrel relationships is better for your psyche and your time.



It's not a good idea to fall into the MGTOW trap, though. You need to surround yourself with mentally healthy people, not stew in a similarly disaffected community.

I have no need for Celsius because I'm not a scientist and my daily routine does not involve copious amounts of math.

Fahrenheit is better for weather anyway, and it's not like it's hard to remember 32 and 212 to begin with.

Celsius is by far the weakest of metric units. Almost pointless to exist.

What's the reasoning behind that? Are they trying to subconsciously get people thinking about car pooling by putting everything in the center, thereby reducing the "solo feel" of the car? Because that seems like the logical daisy chain these kinds of people would come up with.
