I bought a gameshark just to permanently remove the Random rule. Screw that. You can get rid of it in game by doing this complicated and tedious series of steps with the Card Queen, but this can take hours.

No. I'm scared of them. I used to kill them every time I saw them, but eventually realized.. These things are terrified of me. I'm a million times bigger than them. I used to get upset walking into a web outside, but then started thinking about how I completely messed up the spider's deal, and felt bad about it. (actuall I only ever ran into the single random strand of web they made when moving to a place to set up their web, but you know.)

First time I saw one and decided to spare it was a couple years back. it was just dangling its way down in front of the door on its web. so I reached around, opened the door, and blew on it. it flew out the door, i closed it, and it ran off.

since then I've only killed one spider (that I know of) but it was accidental while I was trying to get it outside. I wish I could tell them "I don't want to hurt you, you just can't stay here."

Interesting note: I'm not at all afraid of Harvestmen / Daddy Long Legs. My fear of spiders is incredibly specific. Not too fond of scorpions, because they look like they arent in the mood to take anyone's crap, and are best to be avoided.

Dawn of Souls was pretty alright. I finally got around to beating it. Its not super fun though, the game didn't age well.

And then there's the bonus extra content. If you like slamming yourself into meat grinders and making decisions in the main game that effect the extra content in ways you could not have ever known in advance and that require a whole new game to fix, you'll love it.

It's interesting how the other adventurers you face ends up leveling up with you so that's what makes the game challenging. It's like Lunar. No matter how high you level up the boss is going to level up with you. I just partner up with one of them, mostly Lux the Tetsujin and bulldoze through the game.

While they technically level up with you, they actually grow far more powerful, much faster. The game was tweaked for the US release to make it much more difficult. The result is that you get reduced improvements upon leveling up, while the other adventurers continue as normal. So the NPCs you have to fight become powerful so fast that there's a point where you cannot win.

You can take advantage of this though, as any companion you get gains stats at the normal rate, not the reduced rate.

Pokemon Ultra Sun / Ultra Moon win. More people bought them than any other game on the list. By a lot. Of course, that's to be expected of the most profitable media franchise of all time. They got to be the best by being great.

But sites like, well, all of them love to leave those games out. Why? Dunno, they're best. If user opinion is all that determines the best games, Skyrim Switch would've won.

I don't like this site sometimes. It doesn't work the way it should. numbers routinely fail to add up.

He was diagnosed with a terminal form of brain cancer, Glioblastoma. its the most aggressive brain cancer we know of. He won't be running again, but he plans to stay in for the rest of his term. Most people with this cancer die within 12-15 months of diagnosis. I don't like the man much but it sucks that anyone has to go through that :/

The Switch version has a lot of bugs. Even for a Bethesda game.

As for if its a good game? Yeah its fun. Does some things better than earlier games, some things worse. Melee combat at high levels is much better than in Oblivion, that's for sure. Like every bandit would be full Daedric or Glass armor, and those Spider Daedra oh my god.

Its cities suck though.

Least favorite is Windwaker. Not because Its a bad game, I just... really don't like large bodies of water in video games for some reason. They make me super nervous. I actually modified Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim to remove as much water as I possibly could.
