Like Foppe said, it's also missing the "I played a translated bootleg of it because it took years to get ported" answer. I get that Gamefaqs doesn't want to support this stuff but the closest answer is me playing the original version but it sure wasn't on cartridge or in Japanese.

I heart V. I actually run a fanlisting for it, and one of the last remaining character shrines (& fanlisting) for Krile. (Used to have a combined shrine for Krile, Faris and Reina/Lenna, but I had to close that a long time ago.)

Right now this poll says just under half of all users here have played FF5

IDK why but I have a hard time believing that.

Do you all think maybe people are misreading it as IV, VI and XV? Or just clicking it thinking 5 was that one they played?

I really just don't see that many people having played it, but wtf do I know lol

You're making the mistake of assuming Gamefaqs users represent a majority of video game players. They don't. They're a special pocket of players who are so into gaming that they go to a video game message board to post about them. I don't know too many of these people in real life.

So, yes, I'd say, of the subset of ubernerds that come here to post at Gamefaqs, (who tend to lean to nerdier things like RPGs, Star Wars, the MCU and story-based games), a lot more than the average player may have played FF5.
