The app shouldn't require local admin, but the development environment does. I'm also going to need r/w access to the nonprod databases, and you'll probably have sensitive information exposed to your development team. If that's not acceptable, it's an HR issue, not a security one.

Yes. That never happens.

Security teams are the worst for developers. Yous have no idea what we're doing at an application level and as a developer, I couldn't care less about the tooling results or your infra. Unless you're writing code, I'm not interested in your technical opinion or suggestion involving my code base

5'10 - 245. Continuing to lose weight but it's a slow process. Too easy to get fat.

Basketball is one that I just don't understand from a tactical level. Doesn't help that the reffing is pretty bad and it's just generally a no-defense game so the score just keeps ramping up. Doesn't feel all that interactive or interesting, tbh.

I have no plans of getting married again, or having kids. I want a house though. I'd be generally happy to put up people for a few weeks at a time, but I don't have any interest in a months or years long arrangement

Thanks guys. It's probably been more than 10 pounds of body fat too, I've been working on body recomposition by doing a lot of hill walking, lifting 3 days a week, and jogging/stationary biking/ring fit adventure in between when I feel the energy

I've been waiting for this. Can't wait to buy for myself.

Still have a long way to go, but it feels good man. I'll admit, with how (relatively) easy this weight was to lose, I am quite afraid of putting it back on.

I feel like castle suffers against good spellcasters, but idk why exactly. They're definitely the most balanced faction imo. I guess the big problem is they're very reliant on upgrades, and VERY reliant on ore to get those upgrades

I'm still getting used to mine, but I got a paid of Anker Soundcore Sport X10s and they're treating me nicely.

Dying Fetus hits about right. One of the major complaints I have with most deathcore/hardcore is the mix scoops so much mids out of the tone that you lose a lot of the fullness from kick, the snare is all this punchy high end, and the guitars don't provide any body too often. I'm digging the track from AngelMaker, but really wish they'd use a fuller trigger for the kick to give it a little more body.

If you're mostly looking at deathcore, do you have anything that is closer to the soundscape of Slaughter To Prevail (I need to add them to my playlist).

Looking for stuff to lift with at the gym. Currently using Meshuggah, Strapping Young Lad, Necrophagist, and Archspire, but I need more stuff that has the fullness of sound that Meshuggah has.

I'm usually a full stack engineer, this position is for a UI/UX/front end developer.

We were both rebounding, and I was in such a trainwreck of life that I couldn't treat her well, and flaked on numerous commitments. It helped me get my shit back on track though.

Trying to decide how I want to negotiate the offer - need to compare the insurances and PTO policies and such.

Make a lot of abrupt changes to your lifestyle. When you're miserable you won't know which vice to blame.

La Mulana 2 is another example of a game where you get SO much stronger as you level that even increasing the level of enemies makes it feel like you're a god. Your growth is basically exponential since you have more movement, stronger weapons, and higher stats. Meanwhile enemy growth is mostly linear, more HP and damage.

Plus, the dungeon is like a living breathing thing, it makes sense the it changes.

Nah, flail whip + vajra isn't all that great, blue skeletons without perfume are awful, and you don't even get flail whip until after the death sigil + feather, which drives your score really high. By the time you hit the underworld, the enemy spam and health totals make everything you face except the lokapala in Immortal Battlefield kinda suck. And unless they nerfed scaling, Surtr is ridiculous unless you fight him before scaling kicks in. You're punished pretty heavily for finding crystal skulls especially.

Skyrim is a pretty classic example - you don't run into the basic enemies out in the wild, stuff keeps scaling to your level and basic draugr are replaced with stronger draugr, etc. Yes, you can smith crazy shit if you grind smithing, but that is one singular build path, and there's a TON of noob traps (anything not smithing or sneak/archery generally doesn't scale fast enough to hold up with enemies past like.... level 20ish? I haven't played in ages, I just remember spellcasting and 1h+shield or 2H + armor being pretty garbo) La-Mulana 2 is a game that inspired this topic, as did metroid dread. LM 2 just keeps adding more enemies into previous areas, so even though you kill stuff faster, you rarely face off against chumpy enemies. Metroid dread closes off areas behind you regularly and replaces weak enemies with stronger ones.

Fetterman won one time and he liked it, so he did it.
Two times? Got addicted had to do it.
Three times? Couldn't help it, had another.
Four times was the best.

Metroid dread does something similar, in terms of the moment you get an item that ostensibly increases your strength, 5 screens later the enemies are tankier and you don't get a frame of reference to go back to notice that you're dealing more damage, you're back to needing 5ish uncharged shots to kill something. The moment you get something that reduces your damage taken, the enemies suddenly deal more damage so you take the same number of hits to die. That design would be fine if Dread didn't also change the areas you were previously in to either be blocked off, or also contain those stronger enemies Yes, I know it's because of the X/plot, but it still feels bad. Let me feel strong, dammit.

If your enemies scale, then you don't get to enjoy trivializing things you previously struggled with. That's different from continuing to struggle with new things. When the game scales you don't feel like you got stronger at all.
