iCarly was kinda one of the last shows I watched before I entered the "too cool to watch kids shows" phase. I think I stopped around the episode where they go to Japan for the webshow series awards. iGo to Japan. Guess I really didn't watch it for that long. I could be wrong, maybe a year or two after. I was 10 when that happened.
I stopped watching around that time but I was like 17.

It wasn't because I felt like I was too old or anything, just the quality of the show seemed to dip around then

Not that I ever watched TV super actively. Very off and on

Means keeping federal regulators out of the states power grid". Is that a sacrifice Texans should be willing to make?

https://mobile.twitter.com/HoustonChron/status/1362079382806933512

Former Texas Governor Rick Perry, everybody, and Former President Donald John Trump's Energy Secretary

https://www.houstonchronicle.com/business/energy/article/Perry-says-Texans-wiling-to-suffer-blackouts-to-15956705.php

WASHINGTON - Former Texas governor Rick Perry suggests that going days without power is a sacrifice Texans should be willing to make if it means keeping federal regulators out of the states power grid.
In a blog posted on House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy's website, Perry is quoted responding to the claim that those watching on the left may see the situation in Texas as an opportunity to expand their top-down, radical proposals.

Texans would be without electricity for longer than three days to keep the federal government out of their business, Perry is quoted as saying. Try not to let whatever the crisis of the day is take your eye off of having a resilient grid that keeps America safe personally, economically, and strategically.
Texass power grid, run by the Electric Reliability Council of Texas, or ERCOT, occupies a unique distinction in the United States in that it does not cross state lines and thus is not under the oversight of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
That has long been a point of pride with Texas politicians who in the 2000s chose to deregulate the state's power market and allow power companies, not state regulators, determine when and how to build and maintain power plants.
That system has fallen under scrutiny in recent days as millions of Texans are left without power following an unusual cold snap. Following a near identical episode a decade ago, federal regulators warned Texas it needed to take steps to better insulate its power plants.

But there is little indication that happened, prompting criticism of ERCOT from Texas Republicans and Democrats alike.
Perry, former president Donald trump's energy secretary, however, blamed the rolling blackouts on the rise of wind and solar energy in Texas.

If wind and solar is where were headed, the last 48 hours ought to give everybody a real pause and go wait a minute, Perry said. We need to have a baseload. And the only way you can get a baseload in this country is [with] natural gas, coal, and nuclear.
That argument has been made by numerous conservatives in the midst of the blackouts. But it does not line up with early reports indicating the majority of the lost generation was natural gas plants not wind turbines, which actually performed better than grid regulators had anticipated, said Michael Webber an energy professor at the University of Texas.

I'll never forget Perry held a massive outdoor prayer session for rain

The same results, since 95% of that $5400/year is going straight to some fat cats pocket.

I get not liking taxes but besides your standard big federal tax, and maybe certain state taxes, I can't think of a single tax that you'd pay $5400 a year on. These people are getting "taxed" without even realizing it and they have no proper recourse to even address it because it isn't like you can vote the company owners out

I plan on playing it for the first time this year. Played 1 on the Xbox when it came out and really liked it. Gonna replay that first. Should I go in and play the original version or do the restored content mod? I'm usually pretty big on getting the original experience, but for this I might make an exception.

I'd say play it without the mod first, so you get the original experience then play it with the mod. A standard playthrough is like 20-30 hours I'd say so a couple playthroughs shouldn't be too big of a commitment. If you do go for two playthroughs, I'd advise playing as both male and female so you don't miss out on the gender-locked characters. <_<

As for gameplay, just pick what class you want, though If you want to be skill focused, go Sentinel.

tbh I never once minded Peragus, even on my first playthrough. <_< The only part of Peragus that I find to be tedious is the spacesuit part, but that's easy enough to speed through.

I guess talking to the decidedly-not-an-assassin droid might be a little tedious, especially if you're rushing through it, but beyond that I never thought Peragus was bad.

What's amazing is how short Telos is if you know what you're doing >_> It's like two hours tops

The only checkbox it doesn't tick in the "how to make a fantastically utterly shit FE map" is Same Turn Reinforcements.

It even ticks fucking general bad game design, like being a LITERAL FUCKING ESCORT MISSION IN GODDAMNED FIRE EMBLEM.

But its biggest sin is that the map is basically RNG reliance because you're given 2 shitty fucking characters and told to survive 20+ enemies but also don't take your time because its going to spawn in a fucking dragon to wreck your shit if you take too goddamned long.
