If I am stranded some place I am not ruling it out, but trying to go cross country with only a bag and a thumb? No. I know the odds of being picked up and I would rather not wait 3 days to go 50 miles only to do it all over again.

If I am driving I have some place to go and probably no time to stop. That said I like helping people so I do have time I would consider it.

They are not in the job market. they don't have to worry about applying online, being denied jobs because hr thinks without a cell phone you will be harder to reach if needed or because you are too hard to contact to schedule the interview before the job is filled, managing their work benefits which has mostly been moved online, working the same 8 hours the bank is open making online banking almost a requirement, educating yourself in your spare time so you can get one of the better jobs people keep belittling you for not having etc.

That said I believe it is possible to live without them, but you are basically saying that the poor don't deserve a good chance at upward mobility just because they are poor now.

I'm actually ok with a child learning how to fire a gun, but not around a group of other children being supervised by 1 or 2 adults. Having enough adults to do 1 on 1 teaching might be even worse, because I don't trust a random adult who works at a gun range with my imaginary child.

wait, hold the guns or shoot the guns? Because as long as a trained supervisor is there to make sure they are handling the guns with respect and they are not loaded I don't have a big problem with it. If the guns they were handling were loaded and or they were shooting them even under a 1 on 1 constant adult supervision I would want the teacher fired immediately.
