Technically Monster didn't win, it never went to court since Ubisoft changed the name. They deny that is why they changed the name but either way it resolved Monster's concerns.

I don't think they would actually stand a chance in court, but for most companies it is easier to just change the name and save the time and money.

I don't actually remember if we had TV's and VHS when I was in elementary school. Feels like it was mostly film strips and movie projectors.

Ah, but for the people making that argument it is never a gun problem, they always try to make it about the person. Unless the person is like them, then it is someone else's fault.

In the long list of things he is in line to be indicted for, this one seems to be fairly minor.

I have a feeling that mosteople killed by "deer" were actually killed by driving drunk, excessive speeding and/or not wearing a seatbelt in an otherwise surviveable wreck.

Given the number in that picture I assume that is people killed directly by deer and not deer related auto accidents.

Given where I live deer seems the least improbable, probably followed by lightning.

I got very tired of words like 'scrum', 'waterfall' and 'agile' in my planning class, or whatever the hell that was. It all seemed like learning manager-speak to get worse at communicating. It seemed like business people observed some successful tech teams/companies and tried to put their interpretation of how they worked into words. The dumbass prof we had for it was the head of the department and late for every single fucking class.

The basic premise is fine but I'm less sold on how well it works in large organization and yeah it is just a whole new pile of business-speak.

Probably because it started out as an entirely different game and then they redesigned it to be a Star Fox game.

Wonderlands, although I'm finished with the storyline and there isn't much of a post game so not sure how much longer I'll be playing it.

Yeah, playing it standalone would definitely lose something because you don't have the story context from BL2.

Generally location is the first choice. Price/amenities is kind of a balancing act.

• The Scorpion Sentinel (the first boss thats fought in FF7, but deactivated, of course)
• Seventh Heaven (Tifa Lockhearts bar)
• The Mako Energy Exhibit (Mako is what powers technology in Midgar)
• Airbuster (Another FF7 boss)

The comic doesn't really mark the year that you become old, it marks the year that the majority of the US population would be too young to remember a specific event.

I would imagine this is the cornerstone of their defense. Essentially their app does nothing out of the box and relies on '3rd party addons' to provide content.

I need to replace our TV's at some point. The newer of our two TV's is from 2013 and I think the other is from around 2010.

It is not great. There is a decent amount of stuff close by, but a lot of areas don't have sidewalks and are along major roads. There are also a lot of areas without street lights, so it is doubly dangerous at night or in any inclement weather.

Used to go every year since inception. Then pandemic happened. Then baby.

Yeah, we went to the first couple years of PAX in Seattle before there even were other shows, but eventually buying a house got in the way.

I've largely stopped re-watching/reading stuff from my childhood as it just tends to ruin the memories. I generally don't have the same issue with games. I still rarely play older games, but that is more due to time constraints.

I haven't been to PAX East in years. I went to the first few and then it just became a pain getting a hotel. Recently the only PAX I've been to is Unplugged.

There was a Youtuber who had a popular animated series about his time back in the 2000s when he worked for Disney World. According to him, the face characters were treated like royalty compared to all the other employees. They got their own private break room with a TV and stocked with food. They also went on paid retreats to help improve their improv skills.

It makes sense when you consider how much more stringent their requirements were for face characters, although I would have to imagine they have lowered the requirements given their current staffing issues.
