Can I ask an idiot question here?

So I've been doing P90X for about a week and a half now. When I finish a workout, sometimes I feel like I didn't put it as much effort and as I should have.

However what I'm in the middle of the workout, I feel like I'm giving it my all. And when I say all, I mean like 90% because I do want to save my energy to be able to complete the rest of the workout. P90X is an hour long (sometimes an hour and a half) workout so I don't want to die early and not be able to complete it.

Maybe I'm just making excuses. What you guys think? You guys have the same thoughts when you work out?

Lost to Oats the kirby player

The dairs were actually really effective against him, thats where i got most of my damage from. but i just kept missing every move, kirby seems to have a small hitbox. all my eggs arched over him, my attempts to edgeguard him all failed. he used some Up B's and Down B's, but he did a good job using them correctly. when he Up B'd, by the time I got my ass over there to punish the move, he was already spot dodging or running away. my biggest problem, just couldn't hit my target. but he was able to hit me. game 2 he was able to 3 stock me. not too proud of the way i played, probably could have done better. i feel like towards the end i started to autopilot a little bit too much.

i may do resurrection, i dont know

His tatsu isnt that scary and can be countered at low percents to get your own combos started, and its probably best to punish him offstage right after he uses it

this is good to know, i know he needs his tatsu in order to recover most of the time, so i can try to punish him for it

Your projectile is way better than his, but dont camp too hard because he can still close the gap from mid range pretty quickly

Just be ready to get good punishes on any bad upB or downB usages. Get some good low percent combos and play at your speed. Dair will be mega useful since Kirby is floaty enough to get away from uairs and such at higher percentage.

Looks like that kirby player DQ'd. But this advice still may be useful because I might face Oats (unless Titan or Sharpedo43 beats him).

from the looks of it, either a kirby or a greninja. tbh i'm nervous if i have to play against the kirby. he's seen as a bad character, but whenever i run into one, they are either really BAD or really GOOD. theres almost never a middle ground.

Edit: Yup, I'm facing the Kirby lol. Well if I lose, then he deserved the victory. I have to tip my hat to him.

Faced Cattail as my round 1 opponent in Xanadu.

He steamrolled me both game 1 and game 2. Really good Toon Link. Couldnt find an answer or opening. Game 1 I was super frustrated when I was 3 stocked, but tried to hold it together and try again game 2. Tried to think in my head "OK he's got the boomarang and bomb, now i gotta figure out how to get around those". For a while tried not approaching and throw eggs, but he was able to out projectile me. Game 2 I got one stock on him, and that was me trying my absolute best. He is a WAY better player than I am. Can't really be mad. I think I did better game 2, but not by much. Really tried to find an answer but couldn't quite do so. Really nice guy though.

If you're paying for up to 25mbps, chances are you're getting even less than that most of the time. So yeah, the top speed could be your problem.

This is well, I do believe that upgrading to mbps might fix your problem. Might fix mine too lol. But there's no way of knowing 100% unless you try it. Are you able to go back if you don't like it? But then again, you probably have to buy a new modem that is compatible with faster speeds.

Optimum tech came this morning, just to tell us "Ooh, you guys should upgrade your speed."

Like, yeah, we have only 25mbps, which is unheard of in this day and age, but we've been using it for almost 5 years straight, streaming HD video and playing games online the entire time and it held up juuust fine until 2 weeks ago. Plus every streaming service I see like Netflix and Hulu states that 20 is the recommended minimum.

The hell do I do, guys? He said we should upgrade to 100mbps, but that'll jack our bill from $30 a month to like $70 a month.

Actually I'm gonna make a thread and take my case to CE.

I have Spectrum, and I'm on the 25 mbps grandfathered plan (Reddit claims I'm on the 15 mbps plan, so I don't know which one I really have). I've been happy with it for the most part, but after thinking about it, my internet does tend to slow down a lot. For an example, when there's lag when playing smash, I really have no way of knowing who the culprit is. It's usually someone else, but there have been times where it's me. Is it Nintendo online's fault, or is it my own? I thought about upgrading to 100 mbps for an extra $15 a month (bringing me up to $75 a month), but I don't know if that will actually fix the lag problem or not. It would also certainly be useful for video editing too.

Could be wrong, but seems like that technician you were dealing with just threw in his own opinion. He probably has some fast ass connection and believes that 25 mbps is super slow, even though he may not really be super educated on it.

Mentality is half the battle! Sounds like youre already making improvements in some key areas!

I try to go into every game with a mindset of I got this. Even playing against guys like Ant or when I ran into Tweek or Joe-J all Im thinking is Yo, its gonna be hype as fuck if I win this.

i faced Yng Bddha in redemption.

Game 1 he went mewtwo. seemed like our skill levels were similar. we were trading stocks and it seemed like my victory was on the way. but i misinputted and Down B'd off stage on accident. shitty way to lose lol.

Game 2 he went G&W. he was much worse than Ant, no offense to the guy. Won the game very convincingly. Not saying he was bad, but I'm used to playing two very good G&W players so I knew how to play this guy.

Game 3 he went Palu. He SD'd his first stock, but was able to come back from it. Figured it was karma for me SD'ing game 1 (not really, just making a joke). He played Palu decently. He was able to explosive flame very well. Basically he did an OK job keeping me from approaching him, but when I was able to get in he had little answers. But unfortunately we were both last stock, and I was havig trouble getting in to finish him off. He was able to upsmash (that weird blue vertical attack thing that extends like 20 feet above) for the win.

It was nice playing an opponent that didn't straight up kick my ass.

Despite not winning a single set, i'm glad i didn't give up and i still played the tournament. i also feel like i didnt tilt as much as normal. tried to stay calm, especially against that DDD player.

lost to a DDD player named 51spitfire. no offense to rideshort but this guy was really fucking good. he 3 stocked me game 1, and 2 stocked me game 2. felt like i was playing a TAS.

i think i did the best i could to adapt game 2. game 1 caught me off guard because i was expecting someone less good (as weird as that sounds). got some good uptilt combos game 2, but wasnt enough to get a W.

in between stocks he kept doing that ducking animation. not a taunt so its all good with me lol. one comment i will make, he tried to cheese me with his Down B hammer, but he failed every time. so there's at least that. i dont understand how the fuck this guy lost in winners. this guy should make top 64 easy.

I lost power earlier this week for a good three days. The switch I got from my brother had let's go eevee but it wasn't until tuesday that I found out you could just play it with a single joycon.
