Then they doubled down on BvS with the gloomy shit for some reason, and finally decided gloomy wasn't working so let's make JL lighthearted! Wonder Woman was good because it felt like it wasn't made by suits trying to piece together the perfect blockbuster, using whatever elements are popular. It was just an entertaining movie. --- |

Some really good performances (mainly from Serkis and Jordan), and Kilmonger was a cool character, but it did feel pretty run-of-the-mill in terms of where the story went and how it was resolved. --- |

Why the fuck didn't they just let me take it online at home? Waste of gas money. Also I did an interview where there was some misleading info on my resume. It was nothing nefarious, I wasn't trying to lie or anything, but it was embarrassing that I had to point it out >_> --- |

I think most people get that. He's said it himself. He hates checks and balances and wants to have his own way. At any rate it also conflates various subdivisions of voting blocks. Plenty don't think cops need to be armed, or at least militarized to the degree they are. Others think the military needs to be dramatically reduced so the funding can go elsewhere and we can stop interfering in other countries' business (and that view is shared by some on the right). It's almost like voters aren't a monolith, even as you divide them up by party/ideology. But if you really think you need your gun to defend you from the government, you're voting against interest if you also vote for the most corrupt mofo around who at the very least will try to do what you're so afraid of. And you're kinda voting against interest if you support the party that wants to continually increase military funding if in the back of your mind you expect that military to come for you some day. --- |
