I've been thinking about it, and I think the main thing with the show is that it transitioned from a typical adult-oriented comedy with pop culture references and some sense of family values, to mainly pop culture references and using a caricatured cast as a mere setup for any gags they want to do. And while there's not truly anything wrong with the latter, everybody likes some lowbrow comedy sometimes, it's the change from one to the other that's most jarring to people. It's harder to accept that one of your favorite shows is no longer around when it technically still is.

All this. I've got favorite songs in several different languages, and at least half my music collection is in Japanese. I also work in a primarily Hispanic neighborhood, and I like a lot of the jams they play.

There was a radio station in Vice City that played Spanish music, and it was one of my favorites.

I used to be down on myself, back in the first couple years that I was here. Frankly, I just got tired of being that way. I knew nobody liked me being like that, and that nothing would ever change as long as I kept that attitude.

I can't say I don't occasionally lose some hope, especially now that I'm getting older and not much has changed. But I always hang onto the belief that I'll get what I want out of life someday, and in the meantime I work on myself a little bit every day. And I learned to count my blessings and appreciate what I do have.

But to be honest, even if I occasionally feel hopeless, the thought that I'm worthless doesn't occur to me. I don't think that of anyone, barring mass killers or Hitler-esque people (and even they're at least worth studying to see how their personality/brain works for future prevention).

We used to move a lot when I was a kid, but I don't think we ever hired any movers. We just used our own cars, our relative's, or rented a Uhaul if necessary.

Stop thinking like that, Koga. Anyone who says or thinks you're worthless is wrong and an asshole, period. The reason you think that is because depression has that effect on the brain.

I don't know what your situation is, but if possible, I'd look into therapy. Exercise also helps get the blood flowing and helps you think positive about yourself. And if you really feel like you're worthless, then do something for others so that that's not true. Any kind of volunteer service would be helping someone else, and that's making a real difference.

I went to a gay bar a while back with some friends, because one of them had just come out. It was all right, and it confirmed two things I was already pretty sure of: A) I'm not into dudes, and 2) I'm not homophobic. There were a few people getting into it, and I didn't feel anything one way or the other.

I've been thinking about that guy from Glee who committed suicide, and it got me thinking about the kind of absolute despair and sadness that must go through people's minds when they decide to do such a thing. It really bums me out that people could feel that way, no matter what they've done in their lives.

Even such a thing happened and I wanted to lock it down (autocorrect actually changed that to "lick it down" >.>), I'd fuck it up. I've been single for so long that I don't think I'd be able to live as a couple. At least in a normal relationship we could work on that together, but as a spontaneous thing it just wouldn't work.
