Why can't games 'just be fun' like they were back then?

I'm all about that feel. My favorite games are ones that that encourage free exploration and roaming like action RPG's or metroidvanias. Sonic Adventure, Dark Cloud, Gravity Rush, GTA, I could spend countless hours just playing around on my own.

I'm going to read sundome soon. I know nothing about it aside from some acclaim and that it's a sexual term.

Sundome is more or less all about teasing; the MC doesn't really get anywhere with the girl, and she pretty much strings him along the whole time (and he knows it). The art is kinda weird but but it suits the overall strange tone of the series. It's definitely enjoyable for what it is.

On my birthday, I think in 2016, my brother and his family took me out to eat. My brother hit it off with a guy there, and the guy wound up paying our whole tab. Was really nice.

I'm not sure I'd say FMA is better than Brotherhood, but it's certainly just as good, and I prefer it over Brotherhood. They're just two different experiences with different approaches.

Her being the team leader is strange. But as I said in thread on the Broadcast TV board, it's not like they blindly follow her orders. They went against her two times before, and one of those times she was right. And she's actually trying to do whatever she can do as a non-meta.

Being upset with Barry for leaving was not cool. But the "we're The Flash" thing is just three words that don't have any effect on anything.

I picked up Mirror's Edge at Toys R Us for six bucks last month. Haven't started it, but I really liked the original game.

These sales are a killer when you first get a system. Right now I'm thinking about Dark Cloud 2 (already have it on PS2, but added features would be nice), Knack, Goat Simulator Life is Strange, and PaRappa the Rapper.

I also think it's a downgrade from the Dualshock 3. The placing of the "options" button, the fact that there's a dedicated "share" button, and also that the L2/R2 buttons are easy to accidentally press when you pick up or put down the controller. Why they didn't put a back border on them is beyond me.

There was this PS1 game called Team Buddies; my siblings and I played it on a demo disc and loved it. For a long time I thought the game was canceled because I could never find it anywhere, but I found out it was just exceedingly rare. The game was a blast to play.
