Jeffery Donovan

He was bad ass in Fargo season 2, but, in general, yeah.

The only reason he worked in that was the brilliance of the casting/director.

The character he was playing was a loser who very transparently acted like a wannabe tough guy.

The acting direction they must have given him was "ok you are a tough guy"

Jennifer Lawrence isn't that great

Olivia Munn isn't a real actress so yeah she probably should never get hired.

If I really spent a long time thinking about it I could come up with some good answers.

The only actor I know who is actively bad is Jeffery Donovan.

Johnny Depp hasn't earned the level of value he's assessed as having.

yeah i don't really believe being married for 19 years(and together for however long before that) and not recognize your wife's own body.

Yeah that was the first red flag for me, also that she was 40+ and passing herself off as 27 but maybe he didn't care or that's standard for prostitutes? I'm certainly no expert, either way it's no surprise it was fake.

What would the prostitute age conversion be?

if 40 is 27 it would be something like 9(ACTUAL_AGE-18)/22=HO_AGE-18

9a-162=22H-22*18 -> 9A+378=22H ->

(9A+234)/22=H

So for example a 70 yo would be 630+234=854/22= 38.8 yo

For example, the phrase "wah I can't get a gf" is designed to suggest the speaker of such a phrase to be a entitled whiny person, when in fact many lonely people are simply lonely due to circumstances or choices that were not presented to them fairly.

Put simply, you really seem to not understand those you are shittalking.

I haven't had a gf since 2010. Partly due to lack of effort on my part in certain parts of this period, partly due to being shut down by multiple people, partly due to me and one of my female friends having an agreement because we both weren't getting any. But then that ended because she got a bf and never talked to me again.

But despite it all, I don't feel the need to spend $500 on a girl who I'll never meet and who doesn't give a fuck about me. If I was going to spend that, I'd go buy a goddamn escort or something because at least then I'm having some sort of physical encounter and some kind of return for my money, even if I think that's a rip-off as well.

I understand getting shut down frequently. I understand feeling hopeless and feeling like I'll be alone forever. I was this close to ending it all at one point.

But eventually I just started living for myself and my friends and stopped worrying about all that. Once that stopped being at the front of my mind constantly I actually started having more success with girls.

So you are coming at me acting like I'm sitting here with no frame of reference and can't relate to these kids throwing their money around for no reason, but it's actually YOU, sir, who has no frame of reference for where I'm coming from. I am staunchly against enabling this spending behavior. Also against attacking the girls and not attacking the people who throw their money around pointlessly which is what creates more of these girls doing these things.

I never claimed to have a frame of reference for your life experience just an inference based on how you talked. It seems now that you aren't dismissive of them because you don't empathize but rather because you feel pride that you escaped lowness yourself.

It would still seem like you were only adjacent to the lowness rather than in the thick of it, (you had a FWB you had a girlfriend for a time before this all) that said I'm not saying them spending that money is like right or something just that insulting such people is really just insult to injury. They are affection starved and even being on the periphery of that you must appreciate how bad that can feel.

The solution for them is not at all what they are doing to get out of it, but idk it seemed like you weren't giving them any sympathy and considering how depressed they probably are already that's harsh by my assessment.

That doesn't mean giving $500 to a girl across the country who ultimately doesn't give two fucks about you is excusable behavior just because "wah I can't get a gf".

If you've got that kinda money to spend then invest in yourself and the result will come. We live in a society that's too obsessed with instant gratification rather than putting in the work in for the prize at the end and blanket blaming society for our shortcomings. This mentality has got to end

I'm not defending them so much as saying that how you act seems to demonstrate a lack of familiarity or context for such people's emotional state that you are not treating them with fairness.

Applebees is more than just a restaurant, it is an experience.

When you step through the door of the restaurant your first time, you are transported into a world unlike any other. The low light of the restaurant casts shadows on the knick-knacks adorning the walls, and the translucent hum of the various screens through the restaurant create a sort of ethereal presence in the restaurant.

Right off the bat, you know you are in for a dining experience like no other.

"Welcome to Applebees!" a cheerful host says to you. "How many are in your party?" You hold up two fingers. "Right this way!" She responds. As you walk to your table, you wonder how she can deal with so many customers, yet remain so chipper, but shrug it off as another wonderful mystery caused by the splendor of Applebees.

The waitress takes your drink order and for a moment, your head is spinning. Do you want a soda? Do you want iced tea? You look at the drink menu and you see a litany of alcoholic beverages you have only dreamed about - Bud Light, Coors Light, Miller Light...

The waitress offers a helpful suggestion of an Oreo Shake, and you say that sounds great. She asks if you'd like a round of water for the table as well. You smile. This is the kind of attention to detail that you expect from Michelin Star rated restaurants, not a Neighborhood Bar & Grill!

As the waitress goes to fetch your shake, you peruse the menu. The pages are jam-packed with the names of delicacies that you can only imagine. Fiesta Lime Chicken? Shrimp N' Parmesan Sirloin? You shift in your seat; you suddenly feel very self-aware that you do not belong in this restaurant. Your palatte does not feel sophisticated enough for these cuisines, and you worry that you will not do these delicacies justice when you enjoy them.

Just at this moment, the waitress comes to your table and all your fears are dissuaded. You order the Chicken Tenders Platter (a local favorite). You take a sip from your Oreo Shake and breath a sigh of relief as liquified Oreos slide down your throat. You lean back in your booth and relax.

Suddenly, you hear a chorus of heavenly voices rise from behind you. You turn around to see all of the Applebees wait staff coming towards you, singing and clapping their hands. "Happy happy birthday, from Applebees to you," they cheer. "We wish it was our birthday, so we could party too, hey!"

As soon as they arrived, the employees scatter, leaving you to dwell on the beauty of it all; the fact that Applebees treats you with such precise, special attention, the five-star cuisine, the exotic decor, and the fact that the wait staff is so eager to share in your special moments with you.

No I know, but what I meant by blind was "don't even read the description".

Yeah most people can't do this for every movie, but if you've ever enjoyed a movie for a twist or reveal watching a movie blind will make even the premise seem like a cool reveal.

My hope was that my recommendation will get somebody to watch the film knowing 0 about it like I did (that means no trailers or even synopsis) and then they go it and they have the awesome viewing experience I just did.

It is bullshit obviously and I can't tell if people defending it are being contrarian or trolling. But the level of defense of it is borderline compulsive here.

It was okay.

Did you know the whole premise/plot going in? Because I strongly disagree with you. The world building was great, every choice was great and allowed for a narrative where you really do not know what is going to happen next.

The majority of movies suffer from me knowing exactly what was going to happen or being uninvested due to uninteresting premise or unlikable characters, this had likable characters, an interesting premise, and a really robust job of world building and premise execution.

The experience I had is exactly why I don't watch movie trailers or read descriptions. I had 2 or 3 moments of "Oh THIS is what the movie is about?" as the worldbuilding did a great job showing itself to me.

If you haven't seen it and like a sci-fi movie just go watch it blind. Don't read the description, don't watch a trailer just go watch it blind. It's a really amazingly good movie.

It's on netflix right now.

I cry more now that I realize nobody is playing the "who can be the least emotional game" if we were playing that game I could probably do well, but since we are not there is no need to play it.

Working through your emotional shit is going to be better than ignoring it.

I don't need anyone to tell me I'm a mess to know I'm a mess. Sorry for jumping up your ass. I've just met so many misogynistic hostile Elliott Roger's esque dudes online it's rediculois. If I jumped to conclusions I apologize. That's my bad. I was expecting worse.

Insofar as I would understand them as evidenced by you conflating me with them I will say that you likely don't understand them that well either. I wrote up a really good explanation of it a few years back I'll see if I still have it.

The main part of it is that people get bitter because if you are as hyper-considerate towards a woman's space and person that you might be lead by society to believe you should be, you will likely end up never in a relationship. And for several years you will blame solely yourself for that, but in reality it was the misleading rules that are to blame.

Guys who don't care if they bug a woman by hitting on them will as a point of fact have more success with women then guys who care so much that they never hit on women because they can never be sure the woman wants to be hit on. This isn't an alpha/beta thing or a confidence thing, this is one guy trying desperately to do what he thinks is the respectful thing and the other guy not giving a fuck, and the latter guy having more success because of it.

After sufficient internalization of self-loathing due to this you will lash out at that which seemed to cause your loneliness and self hate, and in that emotional time in the broadest strokes you will think it was women who did it. Women never did, but rather the expectations you put on yourself out of what you thought was the respectful kind way to be with women.

People who have never been alone for a long long time really struggle to relate to this, but there is no question extreme prolonged loneliness and lack of affection emotionally will fuck up anybody.

These people get alienated and then on top of that get called "Elliot Rodgers types" for feeling alienated. When they shouldn't, not because their hate is well directed, but because in the end their feelings do come from an emotionally true place. Elliot Rodgers wasn't a shitty guy for how he felt, he was a shitty guy for how he acted.

And all this isn't to even say your feelings are wrong. Likely your desire to jump to calling somebody like me an elliot rodgers type doesn't come from a place of pure hate but rather one of "I don't like how somebody is making me feel guilty for being happy" and it's true you shouldn't feel guilty for being happy. That wasn't my design of my post, my post was to share how your post prompted a feeling of loneliness and bitterness in me. And I was acknowledging that feeling. That acknowledgement didn't have a particular agenda as it related to you, except for maybe to give you context to realize you maybe should treasure your happy times even more as there are many people who have a life completely devoid of such joys.

I can almost guarantee that the dudes bitter cynicism boils down to "girls are shallow bitches." and I'm not fucking buying it.

Not at all.

Here is a teachable moment: When you are making (inaccurate) assumptions about what other people believe and why, and then getting mad at that person because of the assumptions you are projecting on them, it is you who probably need to do some introspection.

How about you fuck off, loser. I wouldn't let you within the same zip code of my vagina. You act like sex is something you've been deprived of. Guess what, the vast majority of the world has had it.

Every fucking one of your ancestors from before they even evolved into humans got laid. Hundreds of thousands of creatures managed to find a partner that eventually led to you from the lowliest lung fish to your grand parents. Imagine if the buck stops with you? That's on you, pal. What does it say about you? Sex isn't something you're entitled to. It's a natural result or having a healthy relationship with someone who belongs to the same species as you.

Jesus christ you are going off on this.

I just admitted I was bitter, that's it, and it very reasonable because most people derive joy from physical intimacy. I'm not entitled to it, but neither is anybody. I act no more entitled to it that you. It just happens for some people and doesn't happen for others, that said it's batshit looney toons to act like those it doesn't happen for shouldn't feel bitter or unhappy about it, or that they deserve their loneliness.

I only act as entitled to it as everybody else in the world, including you which is to say when you go without it, it makes you an unhappy person.

Your post shows an extreme lack of understanding of somebody like me, which is fine if you didn't also layer on top of that an extremely insulting hostility.

Like I said, You are fortunate, enjoy your good times, feel good for those who can relate, and have empathy for those who can't. Now is not the time to act superior to people who are already having a much rougher go of it than you are.
