No true Trollslayer would shed tears of any sort. Good on you, soldier.

Probably like 2 or 3 years ago. I've watched it several times since childhood though and I never cried.

I've never once in my life cried from a tv show or movie.

If you've seen Braveheart or Return of the King then I'm calling bullshit on that statement.

I've seen em both.... And also it's not that common. I only have one male friend who cries from movies and TV. I've never understood people who cry at fiction. I've teared up plenty of times but shed an actual tear...?

Closest I've come to crying because of fiction was probably when I read the final Animorph's book and Rachel died.

Honestly not really. It's not something I think about. I mean I never cry so why would I think about it much? That'd be like being someone who hates mushrooms but constantly thinks about them.

By choice, or because you physically can't?

Because I spent a lot of my childhood staving off tears, because crying was seen as weak shit and stoicness was encouraged. But one time in my teens, all the shit broke loose and I had a cry, and afterwards I felt like a new person - but since then, my body will literally shut down any traces of crying and prevent emotional release when it would be great to cry.

A lack of tears in your life shouldn't be a goal, dude. If you've got 'em, use 'em. Of course, if you're down with not crying and it helps build your character or make you feel good, by all means do what makes you happy.

There was no money, it was money that you wanted. I went downtown, sold off most of what I owned.

I don't know. Both depending on the situation.

I had a similar upbringing. I had a good cry when I was 18 and that was the last time I cried. It was nice and cathartic tbqh.

Haven't cried since and didn't cry much before then to be honest. Sometimes it would be nice but it just never seems to happen. I wanted to cry a few times and I couldn't.

I cry more now that I realize nobody is playing the "who can be the least emotional game" if we were playing that game I could probably do well, but since we are not there is no need to play it.

Working through your emotional shit is going to be better than ignoring it.
