Damn, where were you at? I wish I could have seen them in the early morning in mid-Michigan, but it was cloudy by the time I got outside at 3:40.

I came here solely to see how long it took before someone said, "your mom" or "a butt" and I'm very disappointed in this board now.

I like to read, nap, or pull out a Switch/Steam Deck if I'm flying.

However, for the last couple of years my flights have consisted of trying to pacify a baby and just survive the travel time without ruining other people's experiences. So far we've been successful with that at least.

And yet absolutely nothing will change. Welcome to the land of the free.

Sizes are weird. I'm a 31" waist on all of my jeans, but when I order new pants at work for our uniform I have to order 34" because the sizes are all messed up from whatever crap brand they buy from.

My 72 year old dad has it right now, but he's doing well.

I married a single mom, but I too would not date a single dad.

I jog my neighborhood at 3 AM and the only person I've ever seen is the guy that delivers newspapers. Granted, he did scream at me one morning because he felt I wasn't wearing enough high visibility clothing while he blew through a stop sign, but for the most part the only things I see are deer and the occasional skunk.

Never really had one, but my wife had a boyfriend that bridged the gap from high school to college and again later. He must have been something special because she said their first time she wasn't sure if he actually got it in...

The only issue with pesto is how it does linger and pesto burps seem to be a real thing in our house.

Yeah, my baby isn't a fan either. Sucks having to alter their schedule and wake them up an hour early to have them pissed at you for doing so.

We make a tortellini soup with a tomato base and throw some pesto in it which is amazing.

McDonald's Shamrock Shake is garbage. I did find a really good one from MSU's Dairy Store. This shit was great and my girls agreed. Ice cream was made from cows on our campus too which is cool.

I have one. It's not great, but that's likely because I have a hundred pound German Shepherd mixed with a Newfoundland. There isn't a robot vacuum that has a hopper large enough to handle even a small room with a dog like that.

Also, anything that your teeth don't easily tear though. My front teeth won't actually come into contact with each other when I bite down so if you put flopping bacon or a slice of tomato, I'm likely not going to actually be able to bite through it and will accidentally pull that shit right out of the sandwich. Super annoying.

Fog delay? I was hoping they would send our kids to school last week and maybe send them home a couple hours early if the ice storm actually started hitting. Instead they called the day off the night before and the storm barely even started until after school would have let out.

The snow day the next day made sense though. Over a quarter inch of ice is hard to get taken care of quickly.

We put down our 13 year old puggle a couple weeks back and it sucked so much calling my wife and daughters to tell them the seizures were getting worse even with meds and that we didn't have any options.

Somehow my wife and I had to pay for the first time ever. Didn't change our withholdings or anything so I'm confused about what the hell is different this year. Didn't get that much of a raise, it barely kept up with inflation on an average year.

Damn, everyone's hating on the joint account. I got on my wife's account shortly after our wedding. Made sense as we owned the house together and both knew of each other's financial status.

We are both similarly frugal and most of the time we spend money it is together. We don't micromanage each other's spending and trust one another to not do something crazy without first talking to the other person.

I understand it could be a slight headache if we got divorced, but whether it's joint or not, any accounts you have will come into play.

I work at a University where nearly every non-faculty position is a union job. The unions have helped keep our benefits pretty decent and when the University tried to take away their 2 times match towards retirement contributions during the beginning of the covid lock down, the unions shut that shit down while faculty had to eat the loss because they didn't have the safety of the unions we do.

Unions can have some shitty things about them, but their intended purpose is to look out for employees and keep the employer from taking advantage of its workforce.

I've got mine for tracking mileage. Way easier to have the watch on my wrist during a run than carry my phone around with me.
