I just had to settle for the Pfizer since the Moderna Bivalent is apparently backordered everywhere. Got the flu shot with it and now my power level has surpassed Kimbo's.

The way invoicing works for shop mechanics is pretty strange from what I understand. Mechanics have a pretty solid hourly rate because they are skilled technicians. When they perform a job, the job has a preset amount of time that will be invoiced regardless of how long it actually takes the mechanic to perform the repair so this incentivizes them to go as quickly as possibly so they can crank out as much work as they can and cram as many jobs in to make a ton. The parts get a decent upcharge too in order to cover the service writers time and what not, but the most expensive thing is paying for the mechanic's time that likely took them far less time than you paid for.

I'm not saying it's wrong, just a strange way that everything works. If you can get someone to do the repairs after hours it saves a ton, but only if you know they are qualified to actually do it well. Also, sucks that most mechanic's have to purchase their own tools and toolboxes instead of having the shop provide them. This means most mechanics start out with an immense amount of debt just so they can work.

I work for a landscaping department that plows snow in the winter and our guys will ride the curb so much that half our tires will have the sidewalls worn to the point that the white walls are exposed.

So you don't suck and it's not a big deal.

That's a realllllllll problem for me too. Dropped 30 pounds during a really bad bout of depression and got to 125 pounds which was not good.

I'm not good at favorites. It blows my 9 year old's mind when she asks me what my favorite *fill in the blank* is and I tell her I don't know and tell her a few of the things I like.

Don't know what my favorite movie, show, food, color, drink, etc is. Just know what I like.

I definitely wouldn't trust them either. Canadians are the greatest threat to Michigander's freedom and that's why I hope our governor will build a wall through the great lakes to keep those hockey playing losers out of my state.

It can definitely take a second to get a kid into a car seat sometimes. Vivian rarely wants to go back into the seat if she recently got out of it. She will go full on stiff as a board to the point that I have to help bend her knees and try and push her down into the seat.

I'd try and let someone through if I was blocking the way in a parking lot, but kids can be absolute dicks and I definitely understand her being frustrated and maybe a bit of a bitch to you.

Oh, and we also did an "Uno" shirt for her first like you guys. My wife is 50% Mexican so we called it Vivian's First Fiesta!

They gave me two bags of blood and let me go home yesterday. Very happy to get home to my girls, my shower, and my bed.

Turns out Im pretty anemic so the fact that this hit after covid was just coincidence. They want to find where my blood is going.

And now Im in the ER because my blood tests came back with really low hemoglobin, white blood cells, and red blood cells. My dad is a retired doc and told me to get to the hospital. So did my wife who is an NP.

Ill be getting a CT scan soon and hopefully know more.

Yeah I kind of thought it'd be improving by now, but my run yesterday morning freaked me the fuck out. I kind of thought things might have been getting better when I ran a 5k three days in a row last week, but things are still pretty rough so I want to at least see an expert and make sure I'm not hurting myself by pushing too hard.

I used to have a side job being a company representative at a micro brewery. They'd send me to beer fests, in store tastings, and tap takeovers all over the place. It was a pretty fun job especially at beer fests to get paid to talk about our beer and drink beer & hard cider from other places.

I had covid about a month and a half ago and I'm still dealing with some pretty intense after effects:

1. Shortness of breath doing simple things like walking to my office from my truck, going up a flight of stairs, carrying my baby, etc...
2. Tightness in my chest during exercise.
3. Light headed after physical exertion.

I was hoping it'd get better so I gave it some time, but after I nearly passed out while running yesterday I've gotten bloodwork done and setup an appointment with a doctor today to try and figure this bull shit out.

It's a hell of a turn to go from easily running 10+ miles to feeling light headed and wrecked after a half mile.

Navigating workers comp is a nightmare. Good luck, I hope the company is understanding and doesn't try to screw you. We had an arborist that fell out of a tree here on campus due to a harness issue. He broke his back when he hit the ground. Not paralyzed, but still in bad shape and I was a happy to be surprised that the department did everything they could to make sure he was taken care of properly despite the fall technically being avoidable.

I've never really had anyone obsessed with me other than my dog. I am his world and he is my shadow. That level of obsession can get a little old when I have to be careful about moving when the baby is playing on him because he'll stand up and send her flying just so he can follow me.

God damn do I love crawfish or really any water creature in a shell it seems. That is a great combo to catch crawfish and have it be a net benefit to the world.

The fourth is actually my nieces birthday so we had the entire family up in the thumb enjoying the beach and sun. My brother-in-law did a boil and I absolutely ruined my insides by eating too much crab, lobster, shrimp, sausage, & corn.

That is our puggle. She is a fat little thing and after she gets the least bit tired she rolls on her back in the grass and eventually refuses to walk. She is like 12 though so I don't mind too much when I have to carry her fat ass home.

I may try it this weekend then. I don't have an Xbox or gaming PC, but with Ultimate I do stream Gamepass.

Furthest I've lived from my hometown is an hour and a half away. Jesus, I should have tried to branch a little further out at some point.

I've also been thinking about trying out Skul, but haven't pulled the trigger. Someday I'll have to though.

I've had to cut down on my mileage and slow my pace down a bit since I had covid last month, but normally I jog a decent amount.
