It looks like it would be an okay standalone generic sci-fi action movie, but it isn't a standalone generic sci-fi action movie. As a part of an established cannon with numerous movies, novels, and comics of backstory and characterization, looks like it's going to be terrible. Han Solo doesn't look or sound anything like Han Solo, Lando doesn't look anything like Lando (well, I guess he got the mustache right), and I'm sure the story of the movie is going to once again be riddled with plotholes and contradictions.

It should say something like "PLASTIC WIDGET ENCLOSED" on the can, at least cans of Guinness in Canada do anyway.

In other words, it's supposed to be in there. Don't worry about it.

The only thing Fallout 4 did well was gunplay and if you just played it as a free-roam shooter, similar to something like the newer Far Cry games, it was fine. But if you wanted to immerse yourself in the world, enjoy the story, or roleplay a character, you know the things people typically do in RPGs, it was awful.

I can't bring myself to care about GDQs anymore. There seems to be so much less personality from the runners these days. It's usually just a runner and a commentator or two quietly making obvious statements about the game they're playing like they're really nervous about being in front of such a large audience (though admittedly this could easily be the fault of the GDQ staff and their endless cavalcade of "no fun" rules and the runners not wanting rock the boat and risk getting kicked out or something).

And the tech issues and set up times have gotten worse and worse when they should be getting better and better seeing as this event draws in so much money now and the people running it actually get paid to do it. This isn't just a bunch of nerds in some dude's basement anymore, this is a legitimately registered LLC.

Then there's the drama. Always with the drama.

Unless everything I read was a lie, they admit that they had no actual plan for anything they set up in The Force Awakens and apparently have just been winging it.

That sounds like JJ Abrams. He and several other writers admitted to doing that with Lost, so it's no surprise he did it again with The Force Awakens and it's sequels.

You just climb past them. They only charge at you if you are moving and they're looking at you, so if one turns purple and gets ready to charge, you just stop moving and wait for it to rotate away from you.

I still don't understand why this is a thing. You can't choose what city to recognize as a capital. The term "capital city" isn't subjective. It has a pretty set definition, the location of a jurisdiction's seat of government. So either a city is the seat of a country's government and is thus the capital; or it isn't and thus is not the capital.

So wherever their seat of government is located (and it's Jerusalem) is their capital. You can't argue otherwise.

I honestly can't remember the last time I played vanilla SMRPG. Every time I've gone back to replay it in the last 5 years at least I've done so with a romhack that changes a lot of the game and makes it much harder. Geno Boost only boosts ATK. Toadstool's healing spells are weaker and far more expensive. Pick Me Ups are now more expensive (in fact I think all items across the board are more expensive). Enemies and bosses have new moves and mechanics (like Bowyer uses Arrow Rain if he gets below a certain HP threshold).

Unfortunately I don't remember the name of it and it turns out I didn't move it to my new computer, so I'll have to dig out my old laptop to get it again.

If you're okay with buying a game and then spending more money to have to play it less, it's not because you're wealthy, it's because you're bafflingly bad with money.

On top of that, if a game is so unenjoyable that you're willing to pay money to not have to play it, then it's a bad game and shouldn't be played.

Sadly we've seen time and time again that there's plenty of stupid people out there who will buy into this microtransaction garbage, and on top of that the Star Wars name means tons of casual players will buy into it too not knowing any better. This game is still going to give EA a boatload of money no matter how many of us here and on Reddit or whatever refuse to buy it.

pepsi products was on sale this week. had to get dr pepper and pomegranite 7 up.

Dr pepper is owned/partnered with Snapple. It's the only one of all the name brands that isn't owned by Pepsi or coke

Edit: it was probably on sale cause it may be distributed by Pepsi. I'm not sure on that though

Or he's just Canadian. Pepsi owns the rights to Dr. Pepper in Canada so it's always on sale with Pepsi products up here.

Please enlighten me, what console has already had a metric shit ton of hits barely half a year after it released?

Well a "metric shit ton" is a bit of a hyperbole, but the Gamecube launched with Luigi's Mansion and Star Wars Rogue Leader and then got Smash Bros Melee and Pikman less than a month later. 4 critically acclaimed hits in less than a month. It also didn't share it's primary launch title with the previous console like the Switch did.

So one month of the Gamecube's lifespan saw more reasons to buy it in terms of games than 6 months of the Switch's. Or probably the PS4 or Xbox One either since nearly all theit major launch titles and titles in the first year or two of their lifespan were also on the PS3 and Xbox 360. This isn't a Nintendo problem, it's an "all video game consoles" problem these past couple generations.

Money changes hands, it should be taxed. Period.

It's already taxed when it's earned as income, and then again when it's invested and earning interest.

That's not how taxes work. If it was all personal income taxes should be abolished. After all, the money a company uses to pay it's employee's wages was already taxed when the company made it.

Nah they're just separatist pigs.

the communists took over. China used to be democratic. Taiwan is made up of the people who were pro democracy. they went to Tailand to escape communism. It's the communist's fault this happened. don't blame the victims

China was never democratic. The Republic of China that existed before the communist revolution was a nationalist single-part state and Chiang Kai-Shek was a dictator just like any of the Fascist leaders in Europe around that time. After the communists won and Kai-Shek fled to Taiwan, his government ruled as a military-backed dictatorship that featured 38 years of martial law, the second longest period of marital law in human history. Taiwan didn't hold a democratic presidential election until 1996.

Also Kai-Shek's government actively oppressed the native Taiwanese, banning their language from schools and media, enacting laws forcing them to integrate and adopt Han Chinese customs, and imprisoning and executing those who protested him and his rule, including the "February 28 massacre" where Kai-Shek's government killed an estimated 10,000 Taiwanese protesters.

Let's not pretend Chiang Kai-Shek was a great person or that his government was a free democratic government. In many ways he and his supporters were no better than Mao and the communists.
