Fantastic case.

Still not as good as 1-5 tho

My hot take is that 1-5 isn't especially great. It artificially pumps up its length with whole plotlines that don't need to be there, and tries to be complicated just for the sake of it when it had no need to be.

Namely... The "two murders at the same time!" aspect didn't need to be there in the least, and it causes a massive plot hole where Meekins passes out in the evidence room before the case starts, is taken to the Detention Center, and wakes up there, but still shows up in Edgeworth's office in the meantime.

I saw it a day or two ago, but I didn't put much stock into it. However, with the Mario/Rabbids thing, it's seemingly confirmed.

Not a super exciting list, honestly, but it does seem to be accurate.

I love the series, and I love the post-trilogy games, but Ace Attorney comes to mind. Finishing off with AA3 would have been perfect.

Death Parade was fantastic. There's also an OVA that came out before the show, called Death Billiards.

I'd definitely recommend it. If nothing else, I think the entire series is up on YouTube. I kind of ran into episodes of it by accident while searching for the ED, and I think they're all there in decent quality. (I watched on the Funimation app, though, since I have a free trial)

The first episodes were really good but it ended up meandering a little towards the end. Maybe I just wasn't that interested in the main story, but only because I really liked the mystery surrounding the premise.

I feel like it comes down to how invested you get into the main two characters. At the end of it, the plot was extremely driven by those two, and it kind of rides or dies on how much you like them.

I do admittedly wish that the plot had done a bit more with the world and side characters, though.

I watched the first couple episodes and really liked the idea of it! Never watched more for some reason but I'd love to revisit it. It was really fun.

I'd definitely recommend continuing on it. The only major problem that I had was that the middle (episodes 5-7, mainly) was a bit slow. Still, I don't think it ever got bad or anything, and the endgame stuff is incredible.

The air hockey episodes and the ice skating episode in particular are absolutely top notch.

I just finished it, and I absolutely loved it. The death games were a lot of fun, I loved unraveling the individual character plots, and the main plot was surprisingly compelling considering I wasn't interested in it at all at first.

The ice skating, fighting game, and air hockey episodes in particular were all top notch.

I hadn't heard that much discussion about the show in advance, but a friend recommended it to me. Really glad I gave it a shot.

I do think that you should include an outright list of fates in spoiler tags. There are inevitably going to be frustrated people who look at a guide just wanting the answer, so I feel like it should be included, even if it takes away from the spirit of the game.

You guys don't know Disney very well, do you? They're not going to have a main character, a focus of the story, actually be in the wrong, or evil.

I mean, yeah, but it comes back to the question of why this movie exists in the first place.

There are tons of other characters or worlds that you could explore, in addition to just new stories in general, that don't run into this problem.

I feel like making a tragic backstory for Cruella DeVil kind of...misses the point of the entire character. No part of her was ever supposed to be nuanced or sympathetic.

That aside, this scene is "Not the bees!" levels of so-bad-it's-good.

I didn't honestly think that Weeks was THAT bad. It was kind of dry at points, but if wasn't a horrible movie. Days is easily one of the best zombie movies ever.

SS is really good, but it's also just strictly too easy. Even without grinding or anything, it's just a very easy game. I prefer FE7 because it has a pretty reasonable challenge with HHM.

On the subject of remakes, I'm hoping for FE6. I'm not sure if IS can get FE4 right in a remake since that game needs a ton of work, but FE6 has a good basis, it just needs a lot of smaller tweaks.

I think the new ending stuff is solid. It wasn't mega necessary, since you could infer most of it already (Mikasa was probably eventually moving on, and the entire series is built on a cycle of violence that probably wasn't just arbitrarily ending), but I thought it was decent to fill in a few gaps that the first ending didn't quite hit at.

Gonna be honest, I don't think any ending to the series was ever going to be popular. Just by nature of how the conflict panned out, either major result was probably always going to be controversial.

I liked the ending for what it was overall, and I think that the series overall is still great.

My least favorites are probably the combo of Elise and Alfin. For some reason, they took two nice characters and made 80% of their dialogue come back to incest jokes. It gets really old after a while, and I have no idea why the series continues to push it.

I would've agreed with 4-1, had Phoenix not have actually forged evidence. Goes against everything he is.

It was supposed to show how far he had fallen. He didn't actually submit it, so it was more of less just an underhanded trick. Similar things get pulled a few other times in the series prior to that (once by Phoenix himself), so I didn't think it was that out of character.

With that said, 4-4 is an outright character assassination.

aa2 is by far the worst game in the series except for the last case, does that make it the ace attorney equivalent of Turkish Star Wars

AA2 gets way too much hate. 2-2 is a top tier case IMO, and 2-3 is mid tier for me. 2-4 is absolutely top tier as well.

Yes. I'm relatively new to the series so I have no nostalgia blinders and this is such a step back from what you said. The absolute character assassination on Phoenix himself, the knock-off Maya in Trucy, Trucy speaking to the court in every case so far despite not being a lawyer, this current case...

The only thing they got right is Prosecutor Gavin's theme. It's pretty damn catchy honestly

I do think that AA4 starts pretty strong. 4-1 is a top tier opening case and 4-2 is a pretty fun filler case.

Sadly it absolutely falls apart past that. 4-3 is awful, and 4-4 shits on Phoenix as a character for absolutely no reason while being really poorly-structured.

That makes her the worst.

I really disagree there.

She was really solid in season 9, and I'd take her over the new guys who just felt like pointless filler, Andy who had gone really downhill as a character, and probably more.

I get not liking her in 8, but they toned her down a lot in the final season, and she made a nice supporting character.

She wasn't terrible but wasn't particularly memorable either. Took me a while to remember who she was.

I've seen her called the worst character and a series ruiner before, though, but I actually ended up liking her.

Tbh I ended up kind of disliking Andy by the end of it. He was funnier as a background character, but when he took over as manager, I feel like the writers had no idea where to go with him. His character just felt like it was all over the place in the later seasons. I think that's part of why I liked Nellie, she ousted him (even if temporarily) and made for a more entertaining character by the end of it, for me.
