I've been watching The Office for the first time, and I'm well aware that she's despised. I don't really think she's all that bad, though?

Like, she's kind of over-the-top, but given where the other characters were at that point (and especially Andy), I think she fit in pretty well and made me laugh more than most characters in the later seasons. She also had some decent development in the final season.

I was kind of expecting the worst since I've heard that she's the worst character in the whole series, but I ended up liking her a lot. It might partially be because I love Catherine Tate, though, in fairness.

They were really fucking bad movies.

I mean, if you want "Bland main chick gets more incomprehensibly broken with each installment and fights in some okay-ish fight scenes", I guess you're in for a treat.

The storytelling was flat-out embarrassing, though, and a ton of characters were forgotten between movies or just retconned to death.

Cackling @ the entire premise for the last movie falling apart and them just killing almost the entire cast offscreen.

As for the topic at hand I would love for there to be a new Tomb Raider game announced but I do not see where they can go with the franchise after the last trilogy.

DD2 is almost certainly happening. It was in the Capcom leak, which has been proven correct by now, especially with the Great Ace Attorney collection being announced along the exact timeline outlined in the leak.

I got it on sale a few months ago, and I finally got around to playing it.

Really unique game. Hunting through virtually living pictures for clues was really cool. The graphical style was really cool, and I was pretty interested in seeing how it all played out. It was like a multi-dimensional Sudoku puzzle in how finding new clues would help you plug in information elsewhere, and it was really satisfying to find a new detail that you had missed which helps you solve a bunch of fates in a row.

My only big gripe was the story

There really needed to be one last twist, or something. The game withholds one chapter from you, and I was expecting some big twist or at least a cool reveal or something. You basically get "Shells drive people mad (basically) and mermaids summon a bunch of crazy shit to attack a boat." within the first hour, and little to nothing else ever really changes about it. For as cool as the fragmented narrative was, once you assemble it, it's not terribly interesting.

Still a really cool game. For something I got on sale for pretty cheap, I enjoyed it a good deal. Definitely worth a look for people who like puzzle games or just generally really unique games.

Would've loved this to be real. I love FE, but I never played 9 and 10.

Yeah, I was hoping for it to be true too. The Tellius games are some of my favorites.

If it helps, there is still a little bit of info out there that could point at this being potentially true, but the leak itself was debunked.

Pitbuller_26 posted...
The Dawn Brigade should just be auto leveled up at the end of part 1 and after 3-13.

At the end of part 1, Edward, Leonardo. Nolan, Aran, Laura, Meg, Fiona and Jill should go into their tier 2 classes if they weren't already. At the end of 3-13, they should also level up to lv.15~18.

Unless they add like 10 chapters for the DB in part 3, they will never catch up to the GMs unless you use extreme favoritism.

I feel like the Crimean knights should be auto leveled as well since they literally only have a few chapters of use before being drafted into the GMs.

My solution is to adjust the EXP scaling to both give more to tier 1 classes in general (AKA the DB), and to give a bit more to units that are behind, so the DB could catch up more easily in part 3.

The other route would be to radically expand part 2. If you add more CRK maps, they can keep up a bit better, and add a few DB maps to keep them in the action and still scaling instead of being missing for so long.

Btw, this was debunked. The leaker was just hoping and has no actual info.

With that said, I still hope they happen some day. I love RD, but it's a mess and needs a lot of fixes, like:

-Unit availability.

-EXP curve (especially with the Dawn Brigade returning in part 3 with their part 1 levels against way harder maps, and Tormod's gang going MIA for 2/3rds of the game and returning at the end basically being unusable since they didn't level offscreen)

-Unit balance (especially Fiona).

-Script rewrites (especially the Blood Pact, which was a terrible plot point that ruined a lot of the story).

-Adding actual supports.

PoRHD could work, but RD needs more than just an HD upgrade to work, honestly. It has a lot of problems.

Gonna answer seriously despite the opening post and say Investigations 1.

I1-3 is my least favorite case in the series, I1-1 is a forgettable opening, and I1-5 squanders some good ideas with awful execution that makes it one of the worst finales. The second and fourth cases are good, though.

Second place is AJ. 4-1 is top tier, 4-2 is a decent filler, and then 4-3 is horrible and 4-4 is a wreck.

I think those are the only 'bad' AAs. Even then, they're enjoyable games, just big steps down from the others in the series.

Also, I dunno if I'd call the homoerotic aspects undertones, because they're pretty overt. At least as long as you keep at it.

The series picks up exponentially from the early episodes. Early season 1 is easily the worst of the entire series.

The Eren fake out was kind of disappointing, but it makes more sense and feels more fitting in retrospect. It's not really as much of a deus ex machina once you get more context behind it. Otherwise, the tension in the series definitely holds up.

I'd say to keep going. It becomes incredible later in season 1 and into season 2.

The congealed blood eventually got bad enough that they had to pull it out, and it legitimately felt like they were ripping my brain out through my nose. Probably one of the most genuinely shitty feelings that I've ever experienced.

That whole day was horrible. They eventually had to cauterize the nostril because they couldn't find a coherent cause, but it just wouldn't stop. I lost so much blood and felt so weak afterwards.

Phoenix Wright.

I love his growth and journey across games, and he balances being funny and endearing with being serious and badass when the situation calls for it.

He gets some flak for how AA5/6 handle him, but I really like him as "Classic silly Phoenix, but also more mature as he takes on a mentor role", and I think that AA4 Phoenix was a bit too much of a departure for him, especially in the flashback case where he's arrogant and kind of unlikable.

But yeah, he has to be my favorite ever, I just love him.

Selphie (Final Fantasy)

Or if anyone knows of any other similar "my degree sucks and I want to switch gears but ideally fairly quickly and with less of a financial investment" programs that I can look into that would actually lead to a job, I'd really appreciate it. I'm just really uncertain about going back to school due to the sheer investment involved, and if I could switch gears with a shorter term investment, it'd be fantastic.

They're frankly pretty much useless. The knowledge you can build is good but you get nothing in return for completing the course like a certification or diploma. Your money is better spent trying to get something with actual value that employers want to see.

That's disappointing but not super surprising. It definitely sounded too good to be true, and I kind of figured that there was a catch in there somewhere.

My current degree (English, which is basically as useless as you've heard) just isn't doing it for me, so I'm considering grad school or something, but a cheaper way to refocus and look at a new career path sounded very appealing. It's a shame that it's not very valuable then.

Namely, these:

https://grow.google/certificates/#?modal_active=none

I've been considering a career change and looking at going back to school. These programs seem to promise something significantly cheaper and faster than school, though, and in fields that I've been looking into anyway. Allegedly, they're a few hundred bucks, can be done in months, and are doable even if you don't have any experience in those fields.

But it kind of sounds too good to be true to me, so I'm pretty wary of actually trying them. Like, time and money are the biggest factors really holding me back from wanting to dive into school again, so something that allegedly cuts down on both sounds fantastic on the surface, but things that sound too good to be true usually are. I feel like there's probably some kind of catch, namely that I'm not really sure if an employer would really value one of these at all.

Does anyone have any experience with these and if they're actually useful and if they legitimately help you land a job afterwards? There's no real reason to bother if it won't actually help me, but they do sound reasonable at face value.
