I imagine that that particular commercial is what it feels like to have a stroke. It keeps just zooming into random parts of the girls and the food to the point where it's just some nonsensical fever dream.

Why is this even a story? The article even mentions that the comparison being made was between a news week with a major breaking story and one without any.

My college advisor was possibly the most awful woman I've ever met in my entire life.

If you went to her to discuss class choices? She'd treat you like a huge nuisance and criticize all of your decisions. This wasn't exclusive to me - I heard her doing the same thing to others through the door while waiting for appointments, and I heard numerous other students discussing the same thing. Apparently one girl from one of my classes had broken down and cried in a meeting with the advisor, because the woman was so rude and demanding to her.

It only got worse if you tried to ignore her. She gave me a list of classes required for my major, and I decided to just use that to make my schedule for the following semester. She eventually contacted me to review it, and demanded to know how I came up with these classes. When I told her, she was visibly annoyed, even though nothing I chose was out of line or wrong in any way.

And then there's the time that she was late for an appointment. I had made it for 3:00, and I was in her waiting room while she was in her office alone. I waited and waited, until it was nearly 3:30, when I decided to pop my head in and just be sure that she was even aware that I was there. I had assumed that she was, but I was running low on time and needed to leave soon, and she was over 30 minutes late and just sitting in her office by herself. After I popped my head in, she told me to keep waiting, slammed the door behind me, and then walked out to her assistant to loudly complain about how rude I was and that she couldn't believe that anyone would ever do that. All because I wanted to be sure that she knew I was there when she was quite late for an appointment.

I absolutely despise that bitch. I dreaded meeting with her every single time, because she was condescending, crabby, and just all-around rude. We did get a chance to review our advisors shortly before graduation, at least, and I left the longest review possible outlining what a terrible person she was and how she should be fired if the college had any common sense.

Or perhaps it will grow on me. I didn't like Boku no Sensou very much at first and then it ended up being my favorite of the openings.

Gaius has a personality, he's just very laid-back, chill, and analytical. He doesn't fly off the handle and react in big over-the-top anime way that other characters do.

Elliot and Machias get their moments to shine here and there. Yeah, a lot of their ties to the plot come from their families, but you could argue that for like half of the cast in the end. Not going to get into specifics, but if you really boil it down, a ton of characters are mostly tied in because of families more than anything else.

I hope that turns out to be true... When I went to Crossbell I wanted to take along both Jusis and Alisa because they're my favorite OC7 members but I could only pick one so I chose Jusis. I figured they would have special dialogue but I also brought along Machias who seemed to be more important than Jusis. Jusis didn't even really interact with Rufus when we encountered him. I wonder if Alisa interacts with Sharon if you choose her.

Very mild spoilers for the game formatting: After a certain point, you have access to both class 7s to make teams with, with very few restrictions except for a few forced characters. You can more or less have whatever party you want for a pretty huge chunk of the game. The game also makes a decent effort to give everyone at least a moment or two to shine in their forced segments, which is saying a lot because the cast is absolutely overwhelmingly massive.

Ehhhh, in the end, I'm fairly okay with it. Old C7 gets to be around for most of the really game in the very, very long CS4, and most if not all of them get to shine at least a few times in there, which is saying a lot since the cast is so bloated.

Yeah, they do take a big back seat in 3, but ultimately, they get a lot of focus in 1/2/4, so that's fine enough in the end.

Luck, I guess.

I was crossing a street near a bend, and nothing was coming when I checked, but the truck sped around the corner and hit me. I woke up a day or two later in the hospital with a cracked pelvis and tons of scrapes and bruises all over. It took months to recover.

I definitely can't say that I remember most of it, but just the sheer jump between starting to cross the street and then waking up in the hospital in intense pain with no memory of what happened in between, and just the knowledge that I likely could have died since I was just a kid, is pretty terrifying as a whole.

Being hit by a speeding truck.

Granted, I don't remember most of it, but still.

I know that it's self-imposed, but I can't help but to find it sad nonetheless.

Fun game, though I felt like the mystery component sort of fizzled out hard in the later segments.

The entire setup felt like a mystery story, but the culprit was literally the most blatantly obvious choice possible. I was invested in figuring out whodunnit, but it feels like there wasn't even a mystery by the end.

I still really enjoyed it, but I wish that that element had been stronger.

Yeah, this. It's often not literally time, but more just exhaustion, stress, and depression making it really hard to work yourself up to it.

It's probably just a placeholder page to update as they get info. It's really not worth taking all that seriously.

It's honestly usually pretty easy to tell, honestly. Properly planned plots will have good foreshadowing and pacing, while stories that are just made up as they go will be more abrupt and clunky.

Admittedly, I probably over-plan when I write, but I personally can't really imagine writing without full planning in advance. I usually dedicate a full notebook to longer stories that I write, and I meticulously plot out everything in them well before I begin writing.

Like, it's not the sweeping forgiveness that people want, but $10k would go a long way for a lot of people, and by all accounts it's within Biden's power to do it. He should absolutely at least do that much.

The game is barely a shell of a Fire Emblem game. Its draw truly is trying to collect all the little waifus.

Ehhh, you'd be surprised. Its skill system has evolved to the point where it gets seriously complicated.

It does still show its gacha side with small maps and some big balance issues, but at this point in the game, there's enough math and reading involved in the whole thing that the matches are a lot more complex than you'd ever really expect. Especially with the addition of real-time PVP into the mix.

If my child said "Merry Christmas, here's a JPG" to me, I'd probably disown them.

I've heard the story/characters are really bland and I don't care for that in RPGs (which is why I didn't like Bravely Default 2 very much)

I'm not the furthest into the game, but I disagree thus far. I'm enjoying both elements at the moment.

Any reason why you aren't interested in SMTV? Because it's excellent thus far.
