Some bitch I went to high school with is actively boycotting McDonald's over them putting rainbows on their fries, which I think was a while back now, and was smugly bragging about how Sonic is so much better because they included a Bible verse on a receipt or something.

I'm on the fence on this one, personally. It's a great show and I think a more modernized version could be amazing, but I really don't want to see it return and fail, and the show already ended in what was essentially the perfect way to conclude a series like that.

Ciri becoming empress is a lot better than her dying. I got the Witcher ending.

It was just so jarring and disappointing as a whole, especially once I learned about the Witcher ending.

I actually did everything right to get the latter, except I chose to visit the palace which locked me into the ending that I got. I actually figured that the game would make me go either way and that that choice was arbitrary, but instead it totally locked me to an ending that I ultimately hated.

I saved both, but I looked the ending conditions up after I went through the main game blind and got an ending that I hated (Ciri becomes the new empress) and didn't want to repeat that in the DLC.

I used to play a tooooooooon. Now I just session ARAMs when I have literally nothing else to do and my friends want to play, which admittedly happens more often than I'd like.

Still a fun game, but I can't really bring myself to care about it as anything other than a timewaster any more. I have no drive to play ranked or anything by now.

This honestly. It was a fun episode with some necessary story ties and some great moments (Robot Morty's fight for sentience at the end being the standout, and I liked most of the later stuff with the arm plotline).

Not top tier, but I didn't think it was bad by any means.

Daenerys is at least up there.

There are like, fifty times when she makes a notably stupid decision or should realistically be fucked beyond belief, but she always comes out of it ahead because the plot dictates it. She either trusts the wrong people or leads her people in the wrong direction or just does something really stupid on a whim but it alllllllways works out in her favor.

Maybe it doesn't come across as much in the show, I don't watch it, but in the books, it's really irritating. You can almost always bet on things working out for Daenerys no matter what she does because her plot armor is so insane that she almost seems aware of it and seemingly makes purposefully stupid decisions because she knows she'll always come out on top.

The gameplay is fine.

The model of the game is really frustrating since you either grind for characters, pay for characters, or deal with a tiny roster. There's also not a lot of single player content but that's not really a big deal for hardcore players anyway.

I enjoyed the game itself, but I got sick of big patches so often and didn't want to grind fight money for extra characters so I dropped it like a year ago.

I was referencing DBZ Abridged, where Bulma mentions Launch and none of the other characters know who she's talking about.

Then it cuts to Launch in a bar with her head slumped on the table. :P

It also works on the level that she was literally cut from DBZ because the creator forgot about her. There's an interview out there where someone asks about Launch and he has no idea who she is.

You promote early in SoV because EXP gains fall off a cliff after level 10. Unless you're actively grinding, it's not worth it to wait it out for a few extra stat points. I believe stat growths are generally lower in SoV anyway, so you may not even be getting much out of it if you grind.

I believe the units that you can skip over and pick up later are just Kliff and Faye from the very beginning. But it's not really worth it since they miss a ton of EXP + like all of their supports, and IMO Celica's route has better units overall anyway so Alm needs as much as he can get.

I'd promote around the 12-14 range. That's when things start falling off hard enough to not make leveling further worth it.

Search everything. There's a rad optional mini-dungeon on Celica's route at the start of part 4 in particular. Don't miss it, it has awesome stuff.



That's about it for advice. The game is fairly easy and you can generally use like, everyone for most of the game so there's not a lot to consider in terms of unit choices.

I'm generally at least somewhat okay with Capcom's practices, even when they get shitty, but there's a lot wrong with MvCI:

-Obvious issues with presentation like the terrible character models and bad voice acting/syncing.

-Too much is copied and pasted from MvC3 given how much downsizing there is. From the demo, most of the characters felt extremely similar to their old selves. Considering just how much seems recycled, it really feels lazy to keep things so similar.

-Small and generally uninspired roster that only has a few newcomers and cuts out a lot of goofier characters that add personality to the roster, like Tron, Phoenix Wright, Felicia, Taskmaster, etc.

-Capcom's DLC stuff getting too out of control. Characters that are either popular or story-relevant are being pushed already, yet are DLC, and given the three confirmed + leaked characters (Sigma, Black Panther, Venom), it seems like they're cutting out a few really popular roster picks for an easy cashgrab through early DLC.


Overall? The game seems rushed and as someone who has really been wanting a new MvC, I would have been happy to continue waiting if it meant seeing a product that seemed a bit more complete overall.
